Great place. Quiet and flat. Stayed one night. Please be respectful and don’t mess this place up. If it’s closed, SF is pretty tolerant for a quick overnight on the neighborhood streets as long as you keep it quiet and clean.
Report Check-InStayed 1 night in my stealth-ish suv & was not bothered.
Beautiful, mostly quiet spot among trees and nearby amazing views.
Parking lot empties after sunset.
The nearby road doesn’t get much traffic at night but there were some cars coming and going in/out of the parking lot (including a fellow dweller).
Apparently this is one of the rare free places to park in San Francisco. Open 24 hours, no time limit. A large lot, somewhat level, situated next to old WWII bunkers overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. This lot has a reputation for break-ins, but then again, so do most city streets in San Francisco! locals park then go walking jogging etc. I think this is one of the best options in the City as it is not on a residential street.
