Report Check-InStayed here for 1 night. As noted by the user before me, there does seem to be a new Private property sign right by the trees next to the lake. I camped to the right kinda in a hidden little pocket. Couple cars drove by but had no problems
Report Check-InWorked well for me for one overnight. Fairly secluded as the road that passes by isn’t busy. In the morning I noticed a Private Property sign tacked to a tree near the lake. I wasn’t very concerned as I was parked near to the road shoulder, not the shore, but it may be newly installed to prevent tent camping by the water. Flat enough, with 2 bars VZN LTE.
Report Check-InNice quiet area for camping. Interstate traffic quiet in the distance. Site is a little downhill toward the lake but not too unlevel. Gnats and mosquitoes coming out about 2 hours before sunset. Would stay again. Nice and shaded
Report Check-InBeautiful spot with lots of birds and waterfowl. Interstate 94 noise all night but it's to be expected. We tented by the water for one night. Some mosquitos but not bad.
Report Check-InSpacious spot, got here at night and it was a bit creepy but peaceful otherwise!
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. One of the locals stopped by and talked about what the spot was like when he was a kid. There is a small abandoned building adjacent to the fountain which, according to him, used to be a shop. Other than that just some highway noise. Would recommend
Report Check-InFantastic spot to camp right on the lake. Exactly as described. Wish we had paddleboards.
Report Check-InBeautiful place to spend the night. There is a fire pit as well as logs for sitting. We stayed on a Saturday night- arrived at 8:45 pm. There was loud music playing from 9:30 till about 11 pm but I’m not sure from where it was coming from. You can also hear the interstate from here. Locals drove by us but no one approached us.
Report Check-Inreally nice spot! flat and grassy right on a lake. was very buggy at night, good att signal. there is noise from the road and trains but not much, most birds I've ever heard!
Report Check-InThis is the remnants of the old rest area and springs that once served thousands of travelers along old Highway 10 before the interstate was built.
There is space for one or two cars or vans here by the lake. The springs no longer functions, however the remaining old rock fountain is still there, without water. Plenty of trees, lots of birds, pretty lake, area some litter from the local kids using it as a drinking spot. Some highway noise can be expected throughout the night. Slice of Life when traveling on the old highway decades ago. The old town site of Crystal Springs is a mile or two away across the interstate, and has photo-worthy abandoned school and church. It is private property, so observe from the county road.
