Amazing site that dates back to early caveman era as old as 12,000 years ago. This village has been occupied and deserted many times throughout the history of mankind. Currently only 12 local people live in the village and all others moved to the cities around since UNESCO has taken over the site.
You can camp always anywhere. There are several cave stay options in the village. Night of stay from locals with basic accommodation should be around 5 USD. And for nicer hotel arrangements options about 7-10$ USD per night. Bon_e_Maymand (also insta id) is a nice hotel/stay in the caves with amazing traditional caveman like sleeping arrangements.

Highly recommended.

Also visit Ayoob Cave nearby if youre into mountain and caves. Epic vibe there.

Also visit Rivas Valley near by but only in April and May to see the beautiful red wild Rivas flowers throughout the valley. Off season is just a deserted valley.

Great sites. You can stay overnight in the parking. Fresh water is available, and if you talk kindly to the curator, so are hot showers!

We arrived by night and stayed on the car park, at the entrance of the village. Nobody was there. Quiet night. But when we left in the morning, a old man asked us for 1m rials (!!!!) for 2 people. He showed me an app with the official prices. So be careful when you go to this village: now, one can be ask you for 500 000 rials per person !!
