Flat spot picnic table, firepit. Lots of catfish. Great fishing hole. Side-by-side trails. Foxes, coyotes and a array of bird.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The real road down the picnic tables is blocked off by boulders, some fence has been torn down and a new road half hazardly heading down to the spot. I would assume it’s not encouraged to park down there, I stayed in the parking lot above and on a Friday night there were lots of loud trucks racing by until 2am and some guys screaming at my van at 1am something like “you can’t sleep here”. No police or knock, but I wouldn’t recommend this spot. Going to check out the other suggestion in the comments below.
Report Check-InGreat spot for the night! Not much trash, take a bag and pick some up so it keeps getting better!
Quiet but very windy in the morning
Head to this spot but take a left on the river side levee and drive 1/2 mile. Take the first right toward the river and there’s a better site that’s a little more private. Also, check out the Spin City laundry while in town, spotless and Connie who works there is lovely. We stopped in town for an errand day and it was just what we needed before heading back to the wilds of NM.
