WOW!!! I was the only one here on a Friday and had my pick with all the gorgeous campsites!
Saturday night it turned into a huge college party spot and I regretted my choice in staying for the weekend. It’s one am and music is still blasting from multiple campsites with non-stop screaming.
There is a bear food storage box and a couple toilets (didn’t use them, cannot speak for cleanliness).
Drove in during a storm, and the road in was a bit sketch at times. Lots of slippery mud while driving along edges of the mountains, be sure you have for 4x4 if driving during the rain.
There are a lot of dispersed camping sites on the way in to the campground that looked really nice, as well. But the views at the very end cannot be beat!
Verizon had one bar of LTE, but would go out every now and then. Starlink worked great!

Pretty & popular free campground with a primitive toilet right next to the entrance of many hiking trails. About 10 spots each with a picnic table and fire pit - they all filled up by late afternoon.

Unfortunately for us this was “bad dog campground” - TONS of unleashed and barking dogs, not very peaceful at all.

Next time I’d take one of the many primitive sites available off the main road on the drive up. Better views and more privacy (even though they’re close to the road).

Awesome, free primitive campground at the foot of the Bridger Mountains and a 5 minute walk to Fairy Lake. I saw several cars and small SUVs make the drive over the 7 mile gravel road to reach the campground. If the weather is good, drive slow and you’ll be fine.

National Forest campground near Fairy Lake. Free, 2 pit toilets, great hiking trails. Rocky Jeep track for several miles to get here, did not see any 2WD vehicles. No AT&T service, Verizon unknown
