Report Check-In

Had a super nice California State Patrol stop by and let us know that you can only park for 8 hours maximum at the view points. He said Highway Patrol will definitely write tickets for it as it's a spot that keeps popping up and being closed on free camp apps, so it's an ongoing issue. He recommended the Rec Area nearby or to do dispersed camping off of the local forest roads, both of which are within a few miles. We did hit the Rec Area for day use ($10) to grab some coin showers, enjoy the beach, and other amenities.

It was great! Very peaceful. There were cars coming and going most of the time, but everyone was really nice! View is beautiful! Seems to be a local hangout spot .

Report Check-In

I pulled in here about 6:30 and ended up actually parking across the street from the lookout. Wasn’t too many cars. Didn’t sleep great but not too bad. Good for a night.

Very nice place with a great view. Not too noisy during the night but during the day there is a lot of traffic !

Report Check-In

We arrived after dark on a Saturday evening and there were quite a few cars in the overlook on the lake side. Appeared to be a party group rather than travelers. We parked in the pull off on the right, across from the lake- no one there but us. Cars on the road overnight but no problem sleeping. In the morning we moved to the lake-side overlook for breakfast. Some cars pulled in for day fishing, one with extremely loud music. We moved to a pull off just up the road from the official overlook- no one but us and a better view! There’s multiple pull offs along this stretch with quick access back to the highway. Would definitely stay here again if in the area! :)

Report Check-In

Good spot with a nice view in the morning, road was relatively quiet for traffic and just became white noise. Hardly anyone pulled in last night or stuck around long

Report Check-In

Fine for a night but the road stays busy all night long, and we had some guys pull in and play music for an hour or two at 2AM. Nobody seems to care if you’re parked there though.
