Description

Sweet spot right on the lake. There’s about 10 spots to camp with their own fire ring and picnic table. No trash cans so please clean up after yourself. Locals come by and fish during the day. Had 3 bars for Verizon. Overall, peaceful spot.

Latest Check-Ins

It was snowy when we arrived with the lake partially frozen. Quiet during the night with traffic during the day around 9ish. Didn't see nor look for any hookups due to the snow, and a sheriff did a wellness check around 8am due to a possible suicide up the road and told us not to go further into the park. There's an old mattress left on the picnic table and some empty water bottles left to the side of us. Still it's a beautiful place and would camp again during a warm season.

Beautiful lake, multiple gravel spots with lake views. Picnic tables and fire pits. Distant road noise, pit toilets. 3 bars Verizon and T/Mobile. Love Kansas.

Report Check-In

Beautiful lake with slightly sloped spots. Some tenters were there with us.

Report Check-In

Perfect spot with plenty of room at each campsite. Parking spaces are a little small but we manage to find one our 40’ skoolie fit on.

Really great place to hang out for a few days. Lots of birds/songs. Beware of tics! Had a couple of gorgeous sunsets. Bathrooms were OK. A relaxing, scenic lake.

Report Check-In

We have been here for 14 days and it has been pretty nice. Vault toilets are in okay shape. It can be pretty busy near the boat dock and there is somebody driving through at least every hour. Each site has a gravel spot to park in but they are not very large, we were able to park our 40ft skoolie and just fit. There are fire rings and picnic tables at each site.

Report Check-In

No one else here, nice and quiet. Plenty of room for the dog to run. Verizon had great service.

Report Check-In

Quiet little camp ground along the lake. Sites way too small for anything over 30ish feet. There are two spots towards the end of the road closer to the interstate that larger rigs can fit into. We stayed at the farthest spot in a 45’ toy hauler with no issues. You could hear interstate traffic but there really wasn’t a lot of it. Entire area smells like sh!t but for a free overnight it wasn’t the end of the world.

Report Check-In

Free campground with several, spacious, level spaces to choose from. each has its own fire pit and picnic table. Pit toilets and a boat ramp and dock. Strong Verizon signal 3 bars. Quiet with distant road noise. Lots of mowed grass for a dog to run and play. There is a 14-day limit, then you must leave with all your belongings for 5 days before you can return.

Very nice place by the river. Numerous saapotsa with fire rings and picnic tables. Very quiet. No toilets but it is free.

Report Check-In

Beautiful, peaceful spot. The camping spaces would be a bit short for any rig over 35 ft, but the pulling vehicle would have to parked elsewhere.

Beautiful lake, not too far from city for supplies, but far enough away to not have much light pollution. Camping is free, with a parking spot, fire ring, and picnic table at every site. There is vault toilets, boat ramp and a dock. Be sure to do your part a pick up after yourself. I have been here a few times and people haven't been doing the best to clean up. Beautiful spot! Arrived at 8:30 pm Saturday night. Lots of families and people tent camping and cooking at the fire. Really friendly people around. Clean area with large grassy area for tents and nice pull out off the gravel road. Beautiful view of the stars at night.

There are 6-8 sites that are all near the lake, are level, have a picnic table and fire ring, are quiet (at least for us), and feel safe. The sunset is gorgeous from here. We would camp here again.
