this large gravel lot is open for day use but very clear signs stating no overnight parking or camping in this lot and the lot just east of here.
Report Check-InBonanza flats trailhead used to be one of our favorite places to stealth camp in our van. Went up there 2 days ago and found newly added “no overnight parking or camping” signs. Such a bummer.
Report Check-InPosted no overnight parking. You can stay just around the corner at the trailhead for the WOW trail.
Report Check-InStayed here the night of 9/6/21. Nice parking lot that is pretty flat. About 7 other vans and truck campers there when we stayed. No issues over night. Nice and quiet. Pit toilet very clean. 2-3 bars of Xfinity mobile and t-mobile
Report Check-InLarge lot with picnic tables, pit toilets, trash bins. Lot filled with mountain bikers during the day, then emptied; camper vans like ours arrived at night. Quiet and safe! Good WiFi (we were able to work).
Report Check-InGreat open space for many vans on the epic ride up the winding road. Cooler temps at 9000ft and the wind can be stronger. (Nice in the summer) This is just past or before the other trail head but the larger parking lot with the pit toilets. 3-4 bars Verizon.
