Description

Great small campground with power, water, wifi, bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers and close to the beach! I stayed two weeks in my truck camper! It’s a 15 min walk to Tamarindo but a world away. Don’t sleep on Taco Star nearby! Laundry service at Hotel Manglar nearby and if you’re staying for a few days, you can call the gas guys in Villarreal to come pickup and refill your tank.

Report Check-In

Could be a fantastic place but is not! Everything is rather rundown and dirty! Had to collect trash because Sergie, the guard, was not present! Chelsea, owner or manager, promised to send informations: but those never arrived! It's like a self-service-site: you yourselve have to take care of everything. Sergio didn't do anything besides demanding the money urgently! So bad, could be a fantastic place!

Report Check-In

Bad place.
Appears abandoned. Lots of mosquitos (at least they provide a big tent in which you can sit). Simple shower and toilet. Good kitchen.
Sergie, the caretaker introduced me to the site.
No one from the management showed up or welcomed me.
When I arrived the second night from dinner, a girl in her twenties - Chelsea? - blended me with a light and cashed me up as if I would try to stay for free.
Impertinent, but a good example how wokeness and lack of education prints a person.

Better avoid this place.

If you want to camp here, you may want to contact Chelsea beforehand to save some time. She was not present upon arrival and though Miguel (her groundsman) was, we still had to make the phonecall. That said, all was fine and they had space for us (we were two campers). We thought the price was very fair (5000 colones p/p) for all the amenities you receive- excellent wifi and power, toilets, showers and covered shared kitchen …oh and close to the beach. Chelsea speaks great English and Miguel is a darling, he’ll help you with all your needs.

Nice camping next to the beach, 3min walk away. Spot with great wifi, showers and bathrooms were clean but the kitchen space a little bit dirty... Anyway, the camping is really nice. We stayed 3 nights with our van.

Krista is no longer here, now managed by Chelsea, WhatsApp +506 7203 9086. several spots for tents with some covered parking for cars, maybe only two or three spots suitable for Overlanders or sprinter vans, etc...

At the time we stayed the price was $10 USD per person per night.

Report Check-In

Arrived and it looked closed, nobody around. Found the WhatsApp number online +506 7203 9086 and asked, we were told to let ourselves in an make ourselves at home. Toilets with Seats! Decent power, good Wi-Fi. We were charged $10usd per person for the fist night, the next day we moved on and checked out some other options, but this was the best, so we came back and stayed for a week longer, $100usd for 7 days for 2 people.

It was a little bit overgrown and leaves piling up when we were there, but otherwise fine. Nothing fancy, but close to the beach and lots of shade which we appreciated.

Thought the place was closed, but was just no campers. On-site manager Krista was very nice. Place is just as others described
