Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Good gravel road, we had one of the last spots at 20:00 during a rainy weekend. We had torrential rain during the night but no issues getting out of the forest because the soil is like a sponge.
Report Check-InAs usual, it’s great to have free boondocking spots in the national forests. We stopped at site 6 for the night with our RV. The forest road branches out after site 3. Sites 4 and 5 are straight on (only for tents) and sites 6 to 12 are on the right branch.
Report Check-InAt site #10. Nice site for 2 or 3 tents. Further down the road after the trailhead parking. Totally isolated in the forest. On this Sunday morning most of the sites were occupied? So happy to have found the one we were going for...
Report Check-InExcellent large campsite. Can hear and see the Gale River. Level site. Fire ring. ATT minimal at site 13. No privy. Not far from road, but very quiet and peaceful.
Report Check-InStumbled upon this area. It is a designated camping area, though it’s not marked as such from the main road. Went around the whole loop and found 2 empty sites around 6:00pm on a rainy Sunday.
Report Check-Inc'est interdit de camper dans toutes les Whites mountain ! nous Avons eu 250$us de ticket chacun !!! privilégiez un camping d'état malheureusement :/
Report Check-InRules are posted at the beginning of the road and the allowed dispersed sites are clearly marked. Lots of privacy. I had 1-2 bars of Verizon in site #4
Report Check-InTHE PERFECT PLACE !
There are many little spots for tent, or bigger for RV. In the Forest, super quiet, near the river with fresh water and pretty trail!
Stay here 1 night. Grey place in the Forest. Several spot, but fill up quick!! Place are rare! Some spot are just for tent
Report Check-Instayed here last night and probably again tonight. it’s nice and quite. just a long (around 2mile) dirt road back. i would say any rig could get back there. although, turning around anywhere other than the very end my be a challenge. there was one VERY large spot for a Class A, large Class C or big 5th Wheel. other than that, it’s mostly smaller spots. but some long enough for a longer van. i’m in a Teardrop and found a few spots. each spot is spread out so you’ll have your own room. i got 1-2bars LTE TMobile Roaming and 1 Bar Verizon Extended Network. i was able to stream HULU though most the night.
Report Check-InWe lucked out and had a massive site, #3 I think, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Plenty of room for our 33’ Class A. Sites are so spaced out that we felt alone in the woods. Perfect.
Report Check-InStayed one night due to it being cold and completely shaded on spot 13 so no way to recharge my solar. Had Verizon 1-2 bars from site 6 all the way to site 13 which is crazy considering there is no service on the main roads near here. All other sites were taken.
Report Check-InExcellent sites. Every site is a quarter mile spaced out from each other over a 5 mile gravel road. Really great setup. One bar of AT&T LTE signal at all sites.
Report Check-InAs of 5/15/22, FS gate is closed. Moved over to nearby Haystack Rd - no issues.
Report Check-InGreat dispersed camping spot! The sites are spread farrrrrr apart so you get privacy and ample space to spread out. Some sites aren’t very level, but other than that, it’s great!
Report Check-InLike previously mentioned, coveted isolated sites with fire rings. Great find as you can stay there for several days at least. A lot of tree cover meant low temps but also little sun for solar charging. Vuzzvan's solar was depleted after day two.
Report Check-InGreat and quiet spot. They fill up fast - not a place to show up late in the day and expect much.
