Dirt road off Baylor Canyon Drive with multiple pullouts for camping. Great view of the mountains and sunset.

Beautiful Beautiful spot. I live this spot, the views are amazing! BUT the wind was terrible. We wound up leaving a day earlier than intended because wind advisory 😒
Report Check-InA lot of people but managed to grab one spot before sunset. Very bumpy road but there were RVs with the trailers tumbling so much. I also saw a couple sedans so I guess it's doable, but my SUV seemed more adapted. Great verizon service. I spent 2 days there and explored the trails around which were easily reachable by bike (as to keep my spot hehe)
Report Check-InGreat spot. Awesome views, nice sites with fire rings and barely any road noise. I saw at least 6 other rigs in the area but it feels well spaced out.
Report Check-Inmy favorite place to camp-up... sites are nice and distant from each other. amazing trail to the organ mountains. bumpy bumpy road! was okay getting through i my compact SUV, but definitely easier to maneuver in the daytime to avoid scraping up the bottom of my vehicle
Report Check-InI loved this spot! Gorgeous view, not much road noise, and close to town. Stayed 3 nights and will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.
Report Check-InWe stayed at the site just past this one that had a turn around road in front of it. Beautiful views around and a great hike towards the end on the big loop. Good Verizon reception. Rock fire pits at some spots. Usually busy so be prepared!
Report Check-InNice spot in front of the mountains. Road a little rough but still doable with 2wd. Cell reception is okish. Nice sunset. You can definitely hear the road and cars still but not too loud. There are some wildlife guards in the road nearby and every time a car drives over it at night it sounds like gunshots. It may disturb your sleep.
Report Check-Ingreat spot for a dispersed camp. room between sites, good cell service and an amazing view of the mountains. a bit trashy but not terrible.
most of the spots were taken when we were there but there's enough room between spots, it did kinda feel nice to have other people around, a little camper community.
got our 21 ft trailer in here, toom off the weight distribution. and sway bar for more clearance, wouldn't have made it in without doing that. rocks and some bigger ruts buts it wasn't bad, worth the effort to get in.
I will say the north entrance up until about this spot we felt comfortable driving in. the road after this spot gets quite bad and we wouldn't have gone farther. coming in from the south entrance there's a bunch of other spots with bigger rigs so maybe it's easier but also the spots are closer and less private down at the south end of the road.
we did a hike in to the Cueva rocks, the rocks before dripping springs. super fun and great hike.
Wonderful spots! The road in is pretty rough, but I’ve got a 2wd so I’m not normally off-roading. Gorgeous sunset and you’re high up above the city so when it’s dark you can see all the city lights :)
Report Check-Inmany spots to pull a class C or B RV into. the road is a little bumpy however not bad however I would prefer to stay at Baylor trailhead up the road
Report Check-Inprime spot, especially if you are a photographer like me. front row seat to the Organ Mountains. the site has a slight slope to it, but was able to find a little dirt mound to level out so it was no issue. I'm in a Nisaan NV2500. the road in is a little rocky so take your time, but wasn't an issue getting in.
Report Check-InBeautiful location. We are towing a 19 ft travel trailer and we could access about 5 spots from the first entrance and parked in the first one. We were told there is another entrance further down with more spots.
Report Check-InLove this spot. Views are incredible, there are other campers but it’s quiet. Road is rocky but no issue for my promaster. Can’t wait to come back when it’s a bit warmer.”!
Report Check-InGreat spot with about 15 sites. All with outstanding views. Arrived around 8pm on a Saturday and there were still 3 or 4 sites available. The road in is better from the north (the entrance the map marker is at) but passable in any vehicle if navigated properly. We were driving a 2wd class b from the 90's and didn't have a problem.
Report Check-InStayed here for 3 nights and lots of spaces were full. 2 nights we stayed in the first small pull off in our rwd passenger van. One day we decided to trek further to a larger spot further down the road and it was quite a stressful drive without 4x4 or high clearance. We had to move some large rocks, but we made it! Not a lot of privacy from other campers, but great views. Good cell service.
Report Check-InBoth entrances provide a pretty rocky drive in, but the north entrance seems better for low clearance vehicles. I was fortunate to get the 2nd spot in from the north entrance. This is the only pull-through spot out of the 11 on this road. All spots are well spaced out, a good size and looks like they all have stone firepits. I've seen all types of vehicles drive by, from a sedan to a small skoolie so seems like all can make it as long as you go slow. Views of Organ Mountains on one side and Las Cruces in the distance on the other. The sunsets are beautiful! I stayed Tuesday - Saturday and spots filled up each night, but a few always opened up during the day.
The paved road is nearby and has a decent amount of traffic so expect to hear them driving over the cattleguard. T-Mobile service is spotty.
BLM land along Dripping Springs. Road was a little rocky, but we made it through fine in our Coachmen Crosstrek. There are several designated spots along the road. Great views of Baylor Canyon!
Report Check-InOne way road off Baylor canyon drive with multiple pullouts for camping. Great view of the mountains and sunset. Not many cars driving by
