Cuyahoga Valley no longer offers camping within the park. Camping or staying overnight in parking lots is prohibited.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Very large parking lot with additional gravel/dirt lots. I had it to myself on a Thursday night. The lights stay on all night. You can hear some traffic from main road but are still secluded. Park Ranger was driving in as I was leaving around 7 AM.
Report Check-InExcellent spot to park, I pulled in around 8:30 and there was about 7 or so vans there so it really made me feel safe, got to chat with a few other people there and everyone was kind. I would stop there again if I was passing through.
Report Check-InPerfectly quiet spot with very well maintained pit-toilets. I actually bumped into the NPS ranger who cleaned and took the trash out, after I woke up in the morning.
Beautiful place to wake up & have a nice morning coffee / breakfast before a walk or bike ride on the canal. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.
**one thing to note: men’s bathroom did not lock
Report Check-InSurprisingly a very quiet (in terms of the number of people overnighting). I parked way back in the corner and had no issues. Park rangers come by around 7 to clean bathrooms but don’t bother anyone. Decent amount of traffic noise if that is an issue for you. But pretty and near great trails
Report Check-InPretty decent sized parking lot. Got there right when it started getting dark. There was one other overnighter already there and just 2 other cars on the other side of the parking lot that left shortly after I got there. Woke up in the middle of the night to see another traveler parked a few spots from me. Was honestly such a quiet and cute little spot.
Report Check-InI stayed one night with a travel trailer and had no issues. The lot was super quiet all night and we got a good night's rest. There was one other van dweller here as well. This is the larger of the two parking lots and much easier to navigate with a longer rig. I had 3 bars on Verizon and was able to work a bit using my hotspot. The pit toilets were well maintained and there is also recycling and regular trash cans available.
Report Check-InStayed here both May 31 and June 1. Was only vehicle on the 31st. On the 1st I was solo most of night but when I woke up a van was right next to me (kinda weird in a large parking lot). Clean pit toilets and the parking lot lights turn off around 12:30 am. A little highway noise but it mostly dies down during the late night hours. The listing indicates there’s wifi but that’s incorrect.
Report Check-InDecided to add Parking lot from other post nearby. Nice night, lit lot, didn’t check bathrooms. Lots of cars into the night but didn’t bother us
