Description

Simple, no frills, cheap. We arrived late in the day stuck behind traffic in fog and desperate to get off the road (terrible conditions on motorcycles!) we first checked out El Durumbe based on reviews but couldn’t find anyone there. After being directed to the neighbours place (Evelyn) we were approached by the owners of Ruby, Victor seemed very nice and showed me the room he had for $150. We planned on staying 1 night and the small but tidy room was ok for that. In addition Victor moved his car out of the undercover parking to make room for our motorcycles and keep them off the street and dry, very nice gesture!
We ended up staying 3 nights...
The room has thin walls and is not as quite as we would have liked and, keep in mind that Mexicans come up here to party in the week end... it can get loud until late!
Bathrooms / toilets are downstairs, there is a balcony on the 1st floor and a roof top sitting area to watch the clouds/fog roll in and out and of course nice sunsets!
Victor and his family are lovely and if you are looking for a budget place, I recommend this one.
