Description

Gated and enclosed parking lot only one block from the famous Chichicastenando's market. Fernando and Leti, the managers, are unbelievably nice. They live in the house within the parking lot. You'd need to check with them first to make sure there's space to camp as it is a busy lot. Clean restroom, if you have an extension they can provide electricity. There's a sink to wash dishes and water faucets for non-potable water. 50 Quetzales per day/night of camping.

Latest Check-Ins

They were nice, but didn't want us to stay there with our small truck camper and 1 tent, because they need the parking for other vehicles during the market on sunday.

Apart from that I would not recommend the place for tents, there is just concrete and no grassy area to put a tent.

Report Check-In

Planned to camp here but hour caught in bad weather and stayed at Corazon del Bosque instead. And good thing I did! This parking lot is NOT particularly good for tents, and on Saturday night into Sunday morning, forget it. Parking lot is packed full of vehicles.

They now want 80 Q. What we found expensive, but we were a bit late for the Market and didn’t wanted to look for another place. The toilet was clean, we didn’t ask for a shower. The night was quiet, accept the streetdogs „screams“.

Fernando and Leti are the sweetest! We paid 60 Q from Saturday 3pm until Sunday 1pm. Toilets are clean and they offer cold shower. As described Gate will be closed at 8pm but you will get their phone number and you can call any time.
