We talked with the guy for a while and waited for everyone to leave and were able to get gas at the local price. Spanish and a sense of humor go a long way.

Other experience: 5bol after asking, then he waved me away

not really charged gas but slept here as there isn't a proper place to sleep or seems like it. it was closed and dark but there was a man guarding the station so I felt a little more secure, even so we slept in the car not the tent
