Rio Negro River Camp | Wild Camping

Fantastic place on the River side of the Río Negro. Busy on the weekends but quiet at night. There are endless spots for tents or motorhomes. We came here twice because it is such a magic place. Very clean! No toilet or tap water.

Nice place especially across the river where you have a view on the mountains. The police came to us twice and warned us that people can come by boat and steal stuff so lock everything away. We had no problem and felt safe. Very popular by locals too but you can always find a quiet spot if you just drive more west or east.

Nice spot but take care if you are there during a storm, a lot of rain make the zone dangerous. 4g with Movistar.

Coming from the east, Maps.ME will try to lead you to the wrong side of the river. There seems to be plenty of spots on that side, but the side where the marker is is a lot better. Keep going across the bridge and turn left on a dirt road across the road from the restaurant.

Nice spot, very quiet but a lot of wind at this moment. Not possible to sleep in the roof tent. Maybe different another days.

Perfect spot for transit to the east coast. Quiet, safe and even clean. Offers several spots close to the river. Pass the club nautico.

Quiet peaceful level spot with lots of space. No one bothered us. Turn right at the end of the road down a track to the river bank.

On the way from west to east we found this lovely spot right on the riverbanks of Rio negro. Very peaceful and quiet. Nice sunset. Only families and chicken around. Pretty sweet spot for transit... Highly recommended
