Description

Great campsite and very affordable. 220 for 2 adults for 1 night camping. Each site has its own ablutions. Our site was in a riverbed and rain was expected so they gave us a Tented site to use the electricity and bathroom in it. Clean outdoor bathroom. Hot showers. Water not drinkable but if you need drinking water then the reception staff will give you some. There is a pool and restaurant/bar with a pool table. Average WiFi in these communal areas. Lovely view onto Spitzkoppe. Definitely recommend.

220 pp/pn.
They say the prices here are on Covid times now they raised the price.

Beautiful campsite, very clean and nicely designed. Great views. Unfortunately for us after a week of bush camping we were looking for hot showers and wifi neither of which were available. Cold evening shower and wifi even in bar area not adequate to load a webpage. Price also increased to 200pp. Staff are welcoming though and the area is extraordinarily beautiful.

very nice campsites with hot shower, electricity, beautiful views of the Spitzkoppe. $170pppn

Price sep22: 170 pp. comfortable , shade and electricity and water and toilets. Nice views of mountains. you must pay 210 nad for 2 adults and a car when visiting the spitzkoppe park (from reception of community camp), plus for seeing a few bushmen paintings on the hills inside the park at bushmen paradise you must pay a guide (abt 1 hr visit). And that excludes the “spitzkoppe national park “further north only accessible from the lodge.

Price is now 170 pppn camping and 700 per person for the tented chalet

Report Check-In

the place is fantastic. the landscape the birds etc. however the attitude of the staff is not the best, the food is expensive and if you don't order your dinner before 5 pm you won't have it. the pool is dirty and abandoned. Sad that such a beautiful place is left to deteriorate.

Cool campsite. Offers both tented camps in different sizes and campsites. Sites are sandy. Quite a few trees for shade. Own ablution, braai and electricity and a little light with each site. Mine also had a table and a sink with running water. Beautiful views over the Spitzkoppe. Nice little restaurant. Loved it. Paid 170 for 1 person.

Report Check-In

nicely laid out tented options with fewer options for independent camp/tents. Not very spaced out, so very crowded and noisy - compared to the serene beauty of the spitzkoppe rest camp. pool, bar, restaurant very noisy with little shade.
No view of spitzkoppe at all, still need to drive and pay entrance fee to spitzkoppe, so definitely worth it staying at rest camp if you are fully self sufficient (no water, electricity other than at main reception such was really good enough)

Decent campsite. Own abblution and toilet are basic, but functional. Wifi is very slow. We stayed over the weekend when lots of South Africans came that made a lot of noise. Sunday morning the locals began blasting music at 05.00. We stayed at campsite 4, across the river bed that was closest to the village. Probably less of a problem if you stay at campsites 1, 2 or 3. View of Spitzkoppe is great and one of the key reasons you should visit this place.

Price now 150 pp/pn.
OK camp.
Each site has power plug, light, fire place, little bit of shade at some sites but not all.
Own toilet and donkey shower which was surprisingly good.
Ablution block itself is built out of tin, so not completely closed.
There is a pool table (not in a good shape though).
Swimming pool, and a bar.
Good place for stopover.
Some MTC reception and WiFi is not good enough...

Great value for money. Better setup than Spitzkoppe Campsite - own shower and ablutions. Lovely pool, bar and restaurant area. Beautiful views of Spizkoppe.
80NS pp (190NS at Spitzkoppe Camp)
Stay here and do a day trip into Spitzkoppe.
Be aware of kids throwing stones at your car if you don't buy their trinkets.
