Description

Water tap near parking spaces just south of building. Would need a decent length hose, maybe 10-15’ if you pulled up sideways right at the curb. Clean restrooms and nice picnic pavilions, too. Lots of trash cans, too.

Third water tap still working, you have to pull down the tap filter to divert the water through the threaded tap.

The last pump before you exit the rest area is awesome! Excellent water pressure. I backed out truck in and out 4 scepter containers on my truck bed and was able to use a standard length hose to reach. Filled 30 gallons before having to “pump” the faucet again. Easy peasy

When driving up you will see a spigot with a blue “Conserve Water” sign on your right side. There will be three of these stations along the sidewalk. The first two do not work and are located prior to passing the building. The third works well and is situated just to the left of the building entrance on the sidewalk.

To work the pump you must hold down the lever that is originally standing erect, then pull the front round spigot where the water is coming out of DOWN. Once you pull both down, water will begin filling your hose at an insanely high force. The force of the water actually blew our HepvO sanitary valve inside out. So before you put your hose up to your rig play with the pressure a bit by lifting the handle back up.

That does unfortunately mean you have to stand there and hold the pump the entire time.

Very clean rest stop, huge parking lot and a very nice attendant who stopped by to make sure we knew how to use everything properly.

Note: The first 2 water hydrants when you enter don't work. Only the last 2 pumped water when I visited. Had to use an extension hose to reach, or pull up sideways against the sidewalk.

Also in case it's not clear you have to pull the handle downwards and then pull down on the ring just behind the hose nozzle, in order to direct water to your hose.
