Something not right?

Description

10/7/22 - they do not allow overnight parking if you aren’t staying in their hotel… and according to the employee we talked to on the phone, they validate all plates of vehicles in their lots with people that have hotel reservations. It’s also very difficult to even get in to, most of the entrances are blocked off.

$20 for 4-24 hr parking. Not ideal but we’d been driving around for ages looking for a spot close to town. It was quiet all night, no knocks.

Stayed here last night. Played a t the poker tables and then called it a night. Parking has increased to $40. We were here from 8pm to 9am. No one bothered us.

They do not allow any overnight parking or “camping.” We tried on 10/7/22 & called… They said they verify all license plates of vehicles parked in their lots with the guests that have a room reservation. We asked if we can park their while we gamble overnight too and they said “only for an hour or 2.. then you have to move your vehicle.”

We tried to stay here on 10/7/22 and were unsuccessful. We called & asked if we could stay there too and they told us no and that “they validate all license plates of vehicles in the lot with people that have hotel reservations, including the plates of the campers & RVs in the lot.”

Just stayed a Friday night here. Wanted to eat/drink in South Lake and didn’t want to drive the 45 minutes to the closest dispersed spot. The coordinates will take you to an entrance to the upper lot which is gated, you need to go to the automated gate/ticket entrance right next to it, then drive into the upper lot. $20 for up to 24 hours. I parked at 8pm, came back to my truck at 11pm and slept unbothered until 9am. I saw one Allied Universal patrol which I parked at 8. NOTE: this is bear country and Harrahs is dumb enough to have unlocked trash cans throughout the lots. When I pulled in there was a bear hitting every garbage can in the lot.

Perfect place to stay, a little noisy but free and tight in the centre of town.

I stayed in a little teardrop camper and wasn’t bothered.

Report Check-In

Stayed a few nights. Close to heavenly village.

Entire parking lot is meaningfully sloped so hard/impossible to get level but otherwise fine. Tahoe area seems unwelcoming for campervans. I wouldn’t pay for it personally (I have diamond status so it was free).

Grabbed a ticket and parked in the lot all the way in the back. It was quiet and no one bothered us. One or two other vans here at the time we came in. Very few level spots to park. $20 for 24hrs

Cool safe place to stay. Just know you need to go thru a gate to take a ticket. If you stay overnight, it's gonna be $20 on the way out. There is really nowhere else during the winter to stay in the area as all the campgrounds are closed and all the forest roads are buried under 6 feet of snow. Came in at 6pm and stayed til 10am. It was quiet and peaceful.

stayed at Harrah's last night. very quiet night. didn't realize there was a gate and that there was a 20 dollar fee for parking the night cheaper than staying other places I'm thinking.

We could not found solution to park in the regular parking, but a gate was open to go to an informal parking where some bus/shuttle stay. Turn right to enter regular parking and right again to found the gate.
No one bothered us.

Worked out great. Couple other RV and Van's in lot when I arrived. More in the lot when I woke up.

Report Check-In

Didn't ask in the front desk if we could stay. it was fine tho, plenty of RVs and vans in the guest parking lot. No problem, just make sure to keep the place clean.

Report Check-In

When i called two days ago the lady at the front desk told me to stay in the upper lot and i did. But thats what the front desk lady at Mote Blue said too and that turned out to be wrong. There is a few other small RV's here. I'm really not sure if the people are in there or not. I just stealth camped in my rig. So i wouldn't get bothered. I made sure to buy dinner inside just incase anyone asked.
