Site is on the Arizona-Utah Border in Utah, minutes drive from Kanab. This site is up a maintained dirt road, and is just off the road, don’t need 4wd or high clearance. Can walk over a downed part of barbed wire fence into Arizona. Fire ring, beautiful view of town and 89.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
A few pocket pull offs from this dirt road. Level enough for a small conversion.
Report Check-InGood spot to stay the night. A little odd driving out of the city and immediately being in (BLM?) land. Access via well maintained dirt road. Sites are not level and can be very muddy. No one knocked, but a few offroad vehicles drove by in the night.
Report Check-InSpent one night here. There were several different little pull off areas, so it was well spread out and felt like I was alone. Peaceful and quiet spot if you need one while in the area.
Report Check-InThere were at least 4 or 5 large spaces up this road. We chose one in between a couple trees for some privacy. Few cars drove by and we had good cell service - att & verizon. Took us 9 minutes to drive to Kanab this morning.
Report Check-InGreat spot for a day or two. close to town for supplies. A few cars on the dirt road but that was it. good cell service.
Report Check-InI stayed in a nearby spot close to this one that looped around a big tree… it is a decent area and there are quite a few spots along the road. Saw a couple other campers.
2-3 bars Verizon LTE and was able to log on to work vpn just fine
Beautiful sunset & stars were bright even with being close to town
