Steep rocky entrance down to several (not very level) gravel spots. Beautiful reflective view in the lake of the mountains! Some local fishers parked near the water. great signal with Verizon.

When pulling into the turnout, take a moment to walk down the first 30 feet to analyze the rocky terrain. See photos of rocky entry. Amazing views with several spot lake front.
Report Check-InFirst 20 feet of the road down is a little gnarly. I'd say it's only suitable for vans and trucks. You can totally make it without 4x4! No RVs or trailers down here. Great view right off of Mono Lake. Some semi level spots and far enough off the road that it's not loud. Best part is...you can't beat the price! Update! I stayed two days with no issue. Only people I saw were fishermen and everyone was respectful. On the way out, the last part of the road is pretty gnarly. Have at least a higher clearance vehicle with the right tires and power or you'll get stuck. I made it out with my Dodge 2wd Van.
Report Check-Innice spot right off highway 395. however, the entrance is very rutted, Rocky and steep. I didn't attempt it with my rear wheel drive Chevy Express 1500. I would recommend a higher clearance vehicle to get in there, but looks like some nice somewhat level spots down by the lake. doesn't seem like it would be very quiet unless it were nighttime.
Report Check-InPretty rocky. With maybe 6 to 8 spots. Still cool to be right on the water and have shade.
