Description

Secure hotel parking lot. 100Q per night. They opened a hotel room for us in order to use the shower. Very nice manager Paola. Speaks English. Restrooms during the day.
Right in the middle of the market. But make sure to arrive the day before the market and you will have to leave the day after because of the streets are blocked by the market.
We have a 23 feet rig and it was ok. Bigger than that, can be difficult to manage, specially if large. Wifi in the hotel provided at no charge.

100 Quetzal per car no matter how many people in the vehicle. We travel with a VW camper van, two of us sleeping in a tent, we still payed 100 Q.
Nice place in the very center of town.

Report Check-In

No problem entering with our truck camper (3m high). Could fit a lot higher vehicles! Paid 100 QZ/4 persons/night, and two of us could stay in their tent which they have to remove during the day.

We were told it's not possible to leave on sunday because of the market, so we'll stay until monday

Report Check-In

As described, secure parking with clean toilets and water (for dishes etc). Paid 100Q. Asked about using shower in room, but told not possible. Fairly quiet at night, but noise from the market vendors setting up started before 5am, so have a pair of earplugs handy!

Report Check-In

100Q per night for van camping in their secure, gated parking lot. Loud during day but surprisingly quiet at night. Helpful employees. Talked to manager who said they are new to overlanders but welcoming them in. Toilets. No shower. Water faucet.

Report Check-In

we stayed here for two nights for 100qz.per night. it is only a parking lot but you are direct in the city and at the corner starts the market, Thursday and Sunday. better arrive a day before and leave the day after. to much traffic around during the market. flush toilets, water and electricity available. you have Wi-Fi at the hotel district and a nice bar with fireplace.

We in on a Saturday and the C1 traffic was pretty rough. Weekdays are lighter. Getting through town was manageable in our large rig. 100q per night. Plenty of space to park and then the lot filled up for the market. Secure wall and locked gate. Open bathroom. Water spigot. Electric outlet. Very near Sat/Thu market and churches. Lots of firecrackers in this town. (dog stress) We did not try to leave during market, seemed unlikely from this location.
Highly recommend a walking tour with Oscar to see cemetery, Mayan sites, etc. TEL: 502-46566963 ([email protected])

Good opportunity to visit the market early in the morning. It is a fenced in parking lot from the Maya Inn Hotel. There are clean restrooms in the parking lot and wie also could use the rest rooms in the hotel garden. If somebody camps there the hotel security will patrol also the parking lot. Wie payed 100 Q for one night. We left the place at 11 in the morning and there is no problem to find a way out of town.

Quiet place right in the center. Very quiet in the night. There is no high restriction. We left the place on a market day in the afternoon and it's no problem to drive out of town. The streets in the town are narrow, but the locals drive with trucks trough it as well. No worries!

Nice big parking lot - if you can get to it. We're in truck camper 3 m. high and hit several awnings. Had to do several bootleg turns. Would recommend only for vans and smaller. Friendly staff letting us use bathrooms and wifi in restaurant. Paola - mgr speaks English. 100q/for two people per night.

Very nice place to camp, literally just meters from the famous market. The receptionists were really nice and helpful. The parking lot guard opened the toilets for us and we were also allowed to use the toilets in the hotel lobby which are nicer. Wifi was good in the lobby. We experienced no problems leaving on a market day with our Volkswagen campervan after the receptionist explained us which streets to take. Much bigger rigs will not be able to leave we think. It is kind of tight.

Nice secure large lot tucked in between the Hotel and a Church, cuts out a lot of the street noise. plenty of room inside if you can manage the corner entrance from the narrow streets. In the middle of the market. Wifi from hotel but does not reach lot. They did unlock the bathroom here in the lot for us :-), ask the guy that unlocks the gate for you nicely. Sinks and water faucets always open. They were very welcoming to overlander staying, still getting use to us, so play nice and keep the good vibes rolling for those to come. I think we are their 3 visitor. Tge lot is closed all week to general public but is opened to general parking on Sundays for the market, maybe Thursday too.

Perfect location for visiting the market. Getting there is tough; tight streets and our GPS got lossed. But doable, even trucks drive the small streets of Chichi. Wait at the gate of parking lot (someone came with a key, otherwise get out of the van and walk to hotel recepcion). The parking lot itself isn't pretty. 100Q per night, use of toilets in hotel (there are toilets at parking lot, but were closed) and wifi. Be aware that on market days the parking lot doubles as a busstation for collectivos. So you have a private show to watch, once you're done with the market. Gerry thinks you could leave on a market day (because collectivos can too). Lesley disagrees (tight streets + market stalls = stress). Why stress out: stay another night; there is a nice bar with cheap cocktails. Next day we asked if we could use a shower in a hotel room (manager speaks good English). Was OK.
