We stayed in a newly completed bush site with potable water and pit toilet.

Fantastic Mountain View’s and no light pollution to be seen. One of or top spots so far.
Can testify to all previous comments. Markus is a super friendly and highly professional guy.

Friendly and knowledgeable service provided by Marcus Batz (now branded as Batz Glucksland). Vehicle storage for N$900 per month (12-month contract preferred). Airport pickup $N1200.

The site has wild and tented camps available as well as a fantastic bungalow for rent. Camps are $N200 & $N500 per night respectively.

Be warned, there's a reason this is a 4x4 vehicle storage - the 3 mile approach road is 'interesting' but fun.

Everything here on "Glücksland" was great. What the other comments say is true! I don't want to repeat myself. I would like to emphasize the quality of service, friendliness and competence of Markus!!!

It's a good thing we met Markus. Our Toyota had several defects (air conditioning, brakes, shock absorbers, tyres ...) and the timing belt also needed to be replaced. Markus can do a lot of things himself in his workshop. He is very well connected in Windhoek and was able to immediately recommend a good workshop (Offroad Centre). We have the feeling that our Toyota is in the best hands with Markus ...

Perfect location for car storage. It's located just outside of Windhoek in the bush where you also have a very nice campsite. The owner Markus is a very helpfull and trusted guy. He is very knowledgeable and have a great team around him. Offers airport pickup and drop of, car maintance and keeps the batteries charged. Car storage is inside a newly build hanger. Highly recommended!!!

Leaving our Mobil Home for 2 months in Gluecksland It was a good idea. Marcus made sure that despite minor technical problems, the car was efficient for our return. He drove us to the airport and picked up from him. Storage is located in a beautiful place between the hills, so you can also spend the night on the camping that offers the owner. I recommend this place as a safe, professional storage.

Excellent compound at Batz Gluecksland ! We used their service upon arrival to pick up our vehicle. They immediately supported with quick fixes for our batteries, electrical wiring of the solar panel and interior cleaning.

We returned 4 weeks later after our namibia trip and left the vehicle for long term storage. 700 NMD per month. Markus built solid warehouses and takes care about batteries and is very knowledgeable about Overlander needs. He will have the second warehouse ready beginning of next year for higher big rigs.

Area is about 40 mins from Windhoek downtown and 30mins from the airport. Also the campsites are really nice located amd make you feel that you are in the bush. (See our separate comment on the campground marking)

Bottom line, perfect place to start and end your trip for namibia!

Since we had problems with our 4x4 Toyota, we drove to "Glücksland". Marcus Batz immediately repaired it professionally. In addition, we were received very warmly and hospitably. We were allowed to visit the very well maintained parking garage for private cars. We spontaneously decided to stay for two nights on the campground, which is usually available to people who park their cars here. The campsite for its guests has several large private sites, with barbecue, fireplace, shower cabin, toilet. Drinking water is available. All the pitches are very quietly situated in a wonderful landscape with a fantastic view of the mountains. With a little bit of luck you can observe various wild animals. Driving time to Windhoek center is 45 minutes, to the airport 30 minutes.
We can highly recommend his parking garage, campsites, so also the maintenance of the car.

Gluecksland is a great place and Markus a great mechanic. With our Toyota Land Cruiser we had a problem with our rear axle and Markus did an excellent job of welding the leak. We stood at Gluecksland for 2 days, enjoyed the wonderful landscape and saw a lot of wildlife.

Car Storage Namibia is a professional company to storage overlander vehicles (motorcycles, cars, trucks) for long term. The Location is perfect situated on a really beautiful Farm between Windhoek and the International Airport. The owner Markus Batz is since years in this business and he knows exactly what overlander people need. There is currently space for 12 vehicles in dry and closed storage, in summer 2021 there will be additional 28 spots. In the workshop they handle nearly everything. There's a place for cleaning cars and a washing machine. Markus offers a document service as well - he has a great network in town. He charges 800 Nam$ for one car a month. The airport transfer is included!
