There is a “designated campsite” area that I drove past, it had a destroyed abandoned tent and some other trash. I went down further to the two dead end roads to check out the other options I saw here on iOverlander. One had some other campers so I settled on the other side. A great spot by the water! Loved the bird watching! A beaver crossed the gravel road around midnight, literally right behind my tent…great wild life watching! I’ve been back a few times since then. I will say there was a lot of trash. But otherwise a great spot!

Camping is allowed at several of the small, dead-end parking areas in this quiet, marshy former-strip-mine-now-wildlife-conservation area. Sadly, there is trash at each site (watch out for broken glass) but the bird watching in the morning was delightful and people fish here too. Roads are smooth gravel but sites/spurs probably too narrow for turning around in something much bigger than our van.

super quiet spot in the wooded swamp, nice easy and flat gravel access. had a restful sleep.

Beautiful place. Early in the season, no trash here during our visit 🙌. Let's keep it that way! A perfect distance from the highway imo. Lily pads blooming, turtles were out in the morning, wonderful floral scent at night, maybe gardenia? (untrained nose). Will definitely come back next time it's on our route.

Remote area with good gravel access. Looks to be mainly waterfowl hunting with various access spots to the water. I found a spot tucked into the woods that shouldn't bother anyone. Acceptable Verizon LTE. Lots of trash around, I don't get it. I didn't see your mom here too clean up after you, just take it with you 🚮

Correction…there is a camping sign on that first pull out in the right too

Nice quiet place. I added some photos. Sharp left turn off of main road when you see the basket looking metal structure in pond. There is a camping sign on the left so you know you are in the right spot. There is a circular pull off on the right just before this spot that another van was in but didn’t see a camping sign there.
