Description

A few spots next to creek. Beautiful sunrise, very quiet, just the noise from the water and some cars far away.

Great place to stay the night. We had no problems with our 25 ft RV. Plenty of spots to pick from near the river. It was raining and the river swelled overnight to an impressive size!

Great Spot, levelled with privat sandy beach. Only for vans with max 20 feet. Not sunny.

Nice camping spot however, it’s not an actual campsite so bring water and lots of stuff the creek and the river is dry at the moment but I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be very nice and beautiful in colder conditions

Cool wild campsite by the water. Warning there’s a crazy infestation of bees. We had to move our camp further from the creek into the woods to try and avoid. Unfortunately humans have left their waste which I think is attracting them.

We absolutely loved this place. There is an amazing spot just after you turn in, to the right. You have a private ‘beach’ and you don’t see any other campers. You do hear some cars from the road behind the campground and the white noise of the waterfall but no highway noise.

Report Check-In

Crown land so you are allowed to camp for 14 nights. no facilities but fresh water available from the river.
about 12-15 spots. As you come in there are about 3 immediately, then take the left small track to another 6 or so. if you continue past those along a very small and rough track (but we were OK 2wd high clearance slowly) you will find another 3 or 4 (which are the nicest ones!) but only small rig friendly.
always busy with others but you'll find a spot.

Beautiful camp spots next to the creek.
Enough space for at least 6+ campers. Road leading to the camp isn’t great so wouldn’t be suitable for big rigs.

Very nice spot. We were the only ones here, there is just a little road noise from the highway but not bad at all. We were right next to the creek. Easy road, we are in a 21' feet old camper.

When you enter, go to your left and follow the road. There are many sites. Please take your trash with you (including TP), collect some trash left by others. Let's keep this place clean.

Beautiful spot!! Do yourself a favor and stay here before tofino, most of the places marked on this map west of here are no good.

What a beautiful place😍
This is one of the best places for wild camping we've ever been.

only to recomment!!!

Endroit calme et agréable au bord de la rivière. Route assez facile malgré les quelques trous.

crown land camping just off the shallow river. it's gorgeous, but the beginning lots get busy quick so we drove in quite far and found a very peaceful spot. you can hear the highway traffic noise still as it's right across the river, but it gets pretty quiet at night.

Lovely spot on a really nice river. Big rig friendly if your more of the adventurous type. Fine driving off the highway and down the Forrest road but before the last turning in to the camping area I'd walk in and check before committing. We were in a 38ft fifth wheel and it was a little tight for clearance above and below but we did it. Worth the effort since its quiet and the river is crystal clear and good for swimming.

amazing spot, as described:)) follow snow creek

Free, informal crown-land camp site. More than a dozen sites and plenty of parking. Quiet and on the river. Access on the left side of the road after the Taylor River rest area (Which has wifi and washrooms). Accessed through a slightly rocky road with an AWD Subaru Forester. We were the only ones there on a Monday night. Great place to camp.

perfect on the river, allowed 14days,in the forest, 400 left from the hwy if you came from rest area, gravel road but ok

Report Check-In

Quite a gem for free camping - lots of spots along the beautiful river, many areas deep enough to dive in. Noise from highway not too bad. No water or toilets so people seem compelled to leave TP everywhere. Our neighbours trashed the place and left a homemade “outhouse”. Very unpleasant. Please please pack it out and properly burry your #2s. Lots of kids and large families when we were there, did not pack enough booze for that.

Spot vraiment incroyable, sur le bord de la rivière nous avions un endroit pour deux truck campeurs. Chanceux d’avoir cette endroit arrivé tôt car beaucoup de monde.

Great spot next to the river. Quite a few other cars here. Fire pits. Able to pick up a signal with a mobile extender.

Really good spot on Taylor River. We spend two nights here, there’s no amenities but it’s quiet and peaceful. Rest area nearby with very good wifi. Keep it clean!

Report Check-In

Busy place with a couple of vans. Relatively quiet even though the highway is just across the river.

Report Check-In

Drove down this bumpy gravel path to a nice spot further down but found inhabited by a topless man and a little girl who was apparently shocked to see any other human. He had a collection of quad bikes and dirt bikes and when we pulled in, he took a seat in his chair right in front of the van and stared directly at us in silence. Not one for one-sided conversation, we left and found another, much nicer spot here.

The river is lovely and there are fire spots dotted about. There’s probably room for 3/4 campers along here but we were alone. Watch out for the mozzies!
