Description

We came here because our friend gave us the contacts for this place. We have to do extension of the TIP. It is a good place because you can go to the Aduanas within a 20 minutes walk. This is a culture house run by a nice family. They have 100m2 lot for parking next to their house. The place is totally safe and locked with a gate. It is not a big space but enough for a big rig or 2 vans. There is a toilet and shower facilities. They give you the choice of cooking some meals for you at decent price if you want. They have free wifi. Free drinking water and you can fill up your tank. Electricity is available for 5$ day. We pay 20$ per night for our 7m long truck.
Frank and Claudia are really friendly and very helpful

The place was closed, when I got here. The neighbor from across the street says, it hasn‘t been open for a while.

Report Check-In

Francisco was great at accommodating us when we arrived late at night

the place as described previously is a small spot we have an extended Ford Transit with a storage box in the back and we struggled to fit it in so anything longer than 21 ft will not fit.

there is an outdoor shower and washroom available as well as a water hose to fill your tank

Francisco was very attentive and helpful even parked his car offsite to accommodate us.

price was $20US for the night

A great place in the city. We are a tall truck camper but with a bit of machete action, managed to squeeze in next to the tree. Everything as described. Lovely family and we definitely recommend getting tshirts done by Francisco. Everything is handmade in his on site-factory, and as well as the superb designs, the quality is amazing, not to mention comfortable. We ordered Nicaragua ones as well as custom made ones for our logo and a personal one for our daughter. We were there just two nights and Francisco got 9 tshirts done and a whole bunch of stickers too, including flags for our rig! He worked so hard in order to get it all done ontime for our departure (we were off to volcano Masaya for the night). During our two days, we made use of being in the city, running errands, and using his very fast wifi (for our website). Definitely recommend stopping by.

We sent a message to Francisco 2 days before arriving to make sure he had space. He replied very quickly and nicely. There is space for only one vehicle. We have a big rig and we barely fit. Very big rig, don’t try it. It’s a great location for visiting Managua. We also left our RV for a week at his place while we were in the Corn Island. We paid 15$/night to sleep there (in the RV) for our family of 5 and 5$/day for storage. Francisco took us to the airport and came back to pick us up. Very convenient, his place is 10 min from the airport. He made us breakfast one day and a delicious mango smoothie, yummy !! He is absolutely adorable and his family and 2 dogs as well. He took us for 2 hours to visit Managua with his car for 30 or 40$. We could fill up our water tank without problem. He is very helpful whatever you need. He is a designer/artist and he even made t-shirts for the 5 of us (see photo). We loved our time there. We will definitely stay in touch with him. We highly recommend !!

We only stayed for one night here but our host made everything to make our City-Harbour welcoming and cozy.
Very welcoming People around. You can hear the traffic around but during the night it was quite until early in the early Morning. We got a lot of recommendation and nice talks.
Definitely a secure place you can go if you pass by the City!
