Something not right?

Description

Amazing that this one isn’t already on the map. It’s a bit of a drive off highway I40 (10 miles) but it’s AMAZING!!! I spent the most wonderful, quiet, peaceful night that I have spent in a long time. In five hours I counted four cars going by. The campsites are dispersed and not obvious but there is a paved road leading right up to them. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

Latest Check-Ins

Nice views except for a major power line passing off to the northeast.

Report Check-In

Nice easy spot right off the road with fire circle. Plenty of room but only me tonight!

Report Check-In

As described previously. Gorgeous views. Quiet spot. It was dry when we were here, but several spots in the road were washed out so it’s probably not accessible on a heavy rain day. also was very windy and a little difficult to sleep. Went to the hole in the wall trails in the morning and had a questionable Mountain bike ride:) we’re fairly technical riders but it would have been better as a hike.

Report Check-In

Great area! Plan ahead for up to 30 minutes of looking for a spot once you reach this location. This location is the beginning of all the opportunities to boondock. Any of the roads In any direction past here will have spots around. I recommend using satellite shots to find pullouts. Stay out of washes, and definitely don’t camp in them. The sand is deep and they can flood even when it’s not raining on site.

Report Check-In

One bar of Verizon LTE. The sand roads are super-sinky currently and I didn’t feel comfortable driving down them in my low clearance 2W drive vehicle. I decided to tuck myself away in the open dirt lot at the corner for the night which worked out great

Report Check-In

Lots of device roads to travel to find your spot. Uber secluded, beautiful, fun to get to!

Report Check-In

Off the beaten path and very quiet. Lots of different camping options in the area. No one around. 2 bars on Verizon.
