What a fantastic camping location. An acre of lush lawn grass to set up on, good security and fantastic location. Practically at the foot of Mount Kenya with great panoramic views, including the glaciers and peak when the clouds give way.
The caretaker, Mike, is friendly and very eager to help. He is an oracle of local knowledge and will assist with a smile. Clean bathroom facilities with plumbed hot and cold water plus cooking facility if required. Electrical connection available for a modest charge.

We loved this very cute campsite in the foothills of Mt Kenya. Gorgeous views of the mountain, grassy site, super clean and hot shower. It is a smallholding with some sheep, a cow, vegetable patch, all really well looked after plus 2 gorgeous dogs! Mike the manager is charming and helpful and even provided us with potatoes and veges from the plot. At over 2600m it gets chilly at night but gorgeous through the day! Great access to hiking around the area.

Mike is super engaged and we really enjoyed our time there.
Don't trust Google to find the place, the roads Google uses do not exist. See picture...
The place is noisy in the evening due to motorbike traffic, but quiet at night. Shower is hot, ablutions are super clean.
Good 4G Safaricom.
We did a nice hike along the river to the pools.

Campsite in a rural setting with great view of Mt Kenya. Camping is on a slightly sloping field with nice green grass. Enough level spots to accommodate RTT's.
There is a vegetable patch and friendly manager Mike is more than happy to share some with you.
A clean bathroom is provided for campers and the solar hot water provides for a lovely shower. Camping is KES500 pppn. We enjoyed the cooler climate after Turkana, Marsabit and Meru NP. It's at over 2600m so nights do get cool.
There is also a nicely appointed log cabin for USD60 a night in case you want to get away from camping.
