Latest Check-Ins

This is a wonderful spot, quiet with an amazing view. Nobody else here this time of year. Hotsprings is a must and there are hiking trails across the bridge. Good cell service, but nothing else, so keep it clean. Access to the west rim sites from the west only, but Hotsprings can be accessed from east or west. Lots of room, multiple sites. The name is confusing as the bridge down in the gorge is a couple km away and blocked off from here. Heated toilets and drinking water a couple minutes drive at the big bridge rest stop.

Report Check-In

Arrived after dark, easy to find. There are a few large spots to find your own space, a couple other rigs there before us.

Easy hike down to Black Rock Hot Springs in the morning… not the best hot spring in the world but good enough to get in.

Report Check-In

Private, strong AT&T signal, great views of the gorge. Small site.

Report Check-In

Gorgeous spot in parking area (which was basically a narrow dirt road) right along the river. The ground was level and there were minor bumps/pot holes driving in from the east side of the river. The drive down has epic views. 10 min walk on a Rocky Mountain side to the small Black Rock Hot Springs. Many locals there. Pool fit about 6ish people comfortably. There was only 1 or two camper vans there. Good for small camping setups/rigs only.

This place is not closed--it's on BLM land. Easily accessible from the west side of the canyon and a great place to camp.

Report Check-In

no longer accessible from John Dunn bridge , the switchbacks are closed due to rockslides
you have to approach from the west passed the gorge bridge
which adds many miles of dirt road

Report Check-In

Excellent austere camping. amazing sites on the edge of a scenic drop-off.

Report Check-In

Nice, quiet boondocking area overlooking the Rio Grande Gorge.

Report Check-In

Up the hill from the bridge. Follow the switchbacks to the top where there are multiple dispersed campsites on the right hand. Looks over the gorge.
At&t service available at certain spots between 1-2 bars. Muddy in spots but able to get through with 2wd.
