Latest Check-Ins

This place can no longer be reached. Path is closed off and we saw a very new building below at the water

Report Check-In

Down long gravel road, easily accessible with 2wd. We did not drive all the way down to the river although this would have been manageable too. Very scenic area, had a lovely swim in the morning and then picked lots of blackberries to have with our breakfast!

Report Check-In

We could enter a cut off area with our motorbikes, which was nice grass area and just next to the river. We hat some visitors as horses, sheep and lovely black dogs who hang out with us.
We had a good spot

Report Check-In

Ok for one night, good to access and not to muddy in rainy season. Not great views and a school bus driving by regularly, but still fine and no rubbish at all.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot, a lot of place but no one around. There are a few locals living around but they didn’t say anything.

Report Check-In

lugar muy agradable, bonito y tranquilo para dormir. no recomendamos beber el agua del río ya que los lugareños nos indican que es sucia. algunos ruidos de animales salvajes en la noche pero inofensivos

Report Check-In

We came in this place on the morning, 7am after long night in truck (hitchhiking), here was one van. A lot of space, easy to get. Recommend

Report Check-In

Super nice spot. Next to the river. fairly close to private property but very safe and plenty of space to find a private spot.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet spot by the river, close to some farms. They must have cleaned the place because we did not see trash around. 3G with Entel.

Report Check-In

We’re not sure if we even found the right place- it was so rainy that everywhere looked to be sodden and unusable. I’m sure the right place does exist but it was getting dark so we gave up and went elsewhere. (Maps.me had a bit of trouble, the spot looked to be across the river from where we ended up- maybe take the directions in the comments below instead.)

Report Check-In

Hard to find but thanks to the ⭐️-comment we found a way to get to the river with 2wd. Nice place to spend the night.

Report Check-In

It’s a very nice spot to stay. Nobody bothered us. Respect those Overlander who find this spot :-)

Report Check-In

great quiet spot for the night. highly recommended for a night.

Report Check-In

we didn't like at all : it is really very very dirty. there were so many garbage that we didn't want to go in the water (and it was 40 degres ! ). A lot of people in the day until 10pm, less after.

Report Check-In

Great spot, some garbage. No one around. The first access road is not too bad. If you have the clearance of atleast a small SUV, you can manage

Report Check-In

This Place is really wonderfull. There are many spots to park and sleep. There are a few fishermen, but just before sunset you are alone. Use iOverlander "star" point for a good Streets/access. No Problem with 2WD.

Report Check-In

The direct access road is rather steep and has some deep potholes, but about 700 metres further, there is another road that leads down to the river and past some farms. I will mark this access road in iOverlander. Use Google maps if possible.

There are a lot of level places along the riverside. We parked our campervan in the shade of some large trees. The area is very nice, however, there is some distant noise from the highway.

Report Check-In

good place for the night, a little firty. we had the visit of 4 horses. we make a firecamp.

Report Check-In

we drove about 1.5 km on the gravelroad, after we left the big road by a very sharp right-turn by the sign cunco chico.
when the river makes a right-turn, we took the small road down to the river, which is a little bumpy at the end. down in this corner you will find a lot of space for small campers and tents. in the morning we also had a visit from 4 horses :-)
we also went down to the river by the sign *no basura*, sadly there was all over basura, so we left :-(

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. We first crossed he river on Route 5 then immediately turned right. Great grassy spots, good swimming, quiet, and plenty of blackberries in March!

Report Check-In

As already stated exit toward Cunco and make a right at the sign saying NO to leaving your basura and pick a spot of plenty once ya arrive. Leave Nothing but footprints.

Report Check-In

Gorgeous, quiet, riverside spot.. we woke up to an abundance of wild blackberries, a visit from some very friendly horses, and a young boy on his atv with a friendly reminder to take our basura with us when we left as unfortunately some previous visitors had left a mess.. Please clean up after yourselves :)

Report Check-In

Spent the night here on our way north on Ruta 5. Very beautiful views of the river and some privacy with trees and bushes around. We found a nice spot to park our van and relax. Many locals out swimming and fishing throughout the evening, but not too loud. Close to Ruta 5 but far enough not to hear it. Good spot for the night

Report Check-In

Nice quiet spot, plenty of flat, grassy areas so suitable for tents. close to Temuco. Gravel track off the highway, suitable for 2 wheel drive.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay near Temuco. Near two rivers, spectacular sunset in the evening, reasonably quiet. There are many spots here to find next to the river.
Take the small exit from Ruta 5 to ruta S-379, go under the bridge, then continue straight to Cunco Chico. Turn right at -38.852646, -72.600386 and just go next to the river :)
