Stayed one night here before crossing into Argentina. Police didn’t mind us there in the evening when they drove by, but in the morning they asked that we moved to plaza parking.
Report Check-InSafe place, we slept one night. Close to the center, with a little movement until around 9 pm (it was Saturday), but no worries. Then it was very quiet during the night, with partial protection from the wind. With a beautiful view of the lake.
Lugar seguro, dormimos uma noite. Próximo ao centro, com um pouco de movimento até umas 21 horas (era sábado), mas sem preocupações. Depois ficou bem silencioso durante a noite, com proteção parcial do vento. Com uma bela vista do lago.
Report Check-InRested here for 4 nights before trying to cross the border into Argentina. Great little spot to stay! Water from the lake is very close and reasonably sheltered from the wind by the trees although one day the wind was extremely strong! Not much privacy for facilities, but it is a 5 minute walk into the town. We saw several other travellers who also stayed here so can be popular, but there was plenty of space. Definitely recommended. Excellent 4g signal on Entel and Claro.
Report Check-InGreat spot to stay in town! We had a quiet night, though a bit windy in the morning. Lake access and a 3 minute walk from the center of town. Right next to an official camping, so there are people around, which made us feel safe.
Report Check-InTourist info told us this was the best place to stay for a night in a van. Hella windy but otherwise very quiet. There's a campsite right next door with Wi-Fi and hot showers and the whole of town is within a 5 mins walk. Nice lake-side spot.
Report Check-InAs described. You can even squeeze in between the trees for some more privacy and lakeside view (only for small to medium sized vans). Quiet and some wind shelter.
Report Check-InVery quiet, no traffic, no dogs, noone walking around... Carabineros came at 20:00 to check. Good place.
Report Check-InI Read all descriptions and are corrects.
Just few minutes ago, the cops come, check and gone. All right.
we didn't stay here but inquired about it at Camping el Carro across the way. The owner of that camp says it's free but is good only for car-camping due to large waves. Lots of barking dogs in the neighborhood. Patrolled by cops at night. We noticed it while camping at Camping Aiken nearby.
Report Check-InQuiet place close to town, plenty of flat parking for many rigs.
Report Check-InNO TENT we came here with 2 backpackers in tent. After they set up their tent behind our vehicle a marine came around saying they have to check in in camping as it is only allowed for vehicles.
