----------------

Two large parking areas right next to the C&O canal, the first one at these coordinates and the other a little farther down the road to the left. No signs with parking restrictions. Quiet night and morning, although this lot can get very busy on the weekends with bikers and walkers.

Porta-potty avaliable. Mediocre Verizon 4G.

Very dark and quiet, just you and some deers around. Very cool

Report Check-In

This place is exactly as described by others. Super quiet at night and pitch black outside. During the daytime, there are a few trails you can hike on for as long as you want. People come here in the morning to run and walk the trails, but everything clears out around 7:00 or 8:00 p.m.

Report Check-In

Parked overnight in my minivan. Absolutely quiet at night. Filled to the brim with kayakers by 8 a.m. A lovely spot.

Report Check-In

As expected from others’ posts. Porta johns are pretty filthy but the night noises are incredible. All quiet except for owls, frogs, and bugs. Morning use started around 7 on a weekday but was also quite quiet.

Report Check-In

Same as previous check-ins reported. Quiet place, no one bothered us. Portable bathrooms at one end. Hikers, runners, etc. use the area for a trail along the water

Gravel lot right on the river. Very quiet and peaceful. There are a few hiking trails nearby. Several porta potties. Great little overnight camp spot.
