As described, very nice peaceful park. They did have a porta potty when we were here. 2bars T-Mobile, 2bars Verizon. Flat, big rig friendly.

Great place for a short stay. Lots of history in this area and the folks are friendly. We stayed here for two days ofter a week of wild camping in Wyoming in August. It felt great to have the A/C for a good night's sleep.

Great overnight just 30 minutes from Scotts Bluff National Monument. Only 1 camper there when I arrived. Water & electric still working. No service with TMobile.

Report Check-In

3 sites with water and electricity and free for 2 days. Keep it clean!

Report Check-In

Checked in here at the site to take shower around noon. There were a truck camper and RV parked there. Potable water pump is indicated was working. Took my shower , talked to the other camper and left. During the discussion the other camper informed me that the city pool which is just to the west of the park and easily visible can be used for showers for $3. The park has beautiful grass and picnic tables for relaxing. Just a nice stop over. Only 3-4 campers can be parked here.

Had the place to ourselves. The park across the street has the nicest grass I have ever seen! Water and power all still there and working. Thank you Bayard.

Report Check-In

There were 4 RVs here take up all the space as a few had extra cars and parked them beside they rig (?). As it was late afternoon, we just parked on the dirt road beside the park next to the grass for the night. There is a water standpipe in the park next to the road across from the porta potty. We had no TMobile service but 4 bars of Google Fi.

Report Check-In

Arrived after dark and had no issues. Place is as described. Little local traffic and some trains every few hours. Other than that no noise and a decent place for a quick overnight passing through.

Report Check-In

Nice small place to park in town. Free stay for two nights then $10 after including water and electric. Has three hook ups but more vehicles can fit if traveling in something smaller. There is also a porta potty and dumpster for trash.
This is a small ghost town and currently only has a Dollar General.

Report Check-In

Thank you to the town of Bayard! It was good to hook up to water :) Too bad there’s absolutely no businesses open in the sorry downtown, but I did appreciate the fast wifi of the library a few blocks away (next to the free RV dump station).

Report Check-In

Great free spot to spend a night! There are three sites for SMALL rigs to park in a line. Three electrical boxes with standard 110v, 30a and 50a outlets. Water, too. No dump here (sign even says so) so lookup the dump site here in the city on iOverlander to do that. Be nice, keep this place clean. There's a dumpster across the street for your trash so use it. There's also a nice park across the street with picnic tables and lots of room for dogs.

Place is really easy to find, go to the base of the huge water tower with the city name on it!

Report Check-In

Small strip of land by the water tower and across from a park. Sign indicates that anyone can camp here 2 nights for free, after that it's $10/night. Looks like they even have electrical hookups but I didn't use them. No real space for tents, no bathroom, also bright streetlights nearby, but good safe place near Chimney Rock
