Perfect place. Flat, quiet, clean hot shower and toilets. Table. We payed 1500 per adults and half price under 12 years old. Ok for big rig but the place are little bite narrow. For a truck maybe you have to stay in the parking lot. Wifi disponible but near the sower.

Report Check-In

there is even potable water and a wifi. not fast but who cares in the middle of the nature ?? the view over the mountains is magical !

Report Check-In

some of the below comments are really tough. for us, the campground is very good. safe (with a small child), clean, the space are not huge but why do you need a lot of space when you have the desert all around ? tables and chairs enough for everybody. there is even a restaurant, small shop and Cafe with sofas outside to chill. you can even recycle your garbage. the showers are hot and clean but be aware of the mosquitoes in the showers. for us, it's a good deal for only 1500 pesos per person. 😊 the excursion and the entry to the national park are paid separately !

Report Check-In

toilets and showers really clean, no shade, wifi works but slow in the camp ground. for tente OK but for à van the space given for each vehicule is small. however only 1 table with shade to share with your neighbour

Report Check-In

Still $1500pp.. clean campground with great bathrooms and showers.
4 pitches with table and palapa. Electric at each site also.
Very quiet at night!
Pay inside the restaurant on site. Friendly staff.

Report Check-In

Good infrastructure with clean showers and toilets, electricity at sites. Nice restaurant. The tour is ok, also Valle de Luna is sufficiently near such that you can start from this camping.

Report Check-In

Good place for one night or two. The sanitary facilities are clean but the showers are only open in the evening. You can book tours in the center in the canyon Talampaya on the same day. The reservation for the next day, however, must be booked online, but it is impossible with a foreign credit card.

Report Check-In

Lovely campsite with clean bathrooms and hot showers. At your side you have a table and place to make BBQ. You can book on the website but we just arrived and asked for a spot. Also many tent spots available. The sunset and surrounding landscape is very nice. While we were there some foxes were running around.

Report Check-In

Really nice camping! Super clean toilets and showers with hot water (between 16 and 22). Restaurant nearby which was open until 22. We saw some grey fox several times. Loved the place. 3000 pesos for two persons and our motorhome.

Report Check-In

Stayed 2 nights. 1500 pesos/adult and 750/child per night. Visitor center has Wi-Fi along with restaurant that also sells snacks. Wi-Fi reached to #10 campsite. Spots are small but flat and come with fire pits and shared picnic table. Hot showers from 4pm-10pm. Excursions are pricey but beautiful!

Report Check-In

No dia seguinte acordamos e visitamos as atrações.

We spent one night at the park's official campsite. I don't have water, but there is a hot shower, it was super clean. Electricity is available. There are few places for motorhomes, so it's a good idea to book in advance. The next day we woke up and visited the attractions.

The park restaurant is open until 10 pm.

We saw a silent and fantastic sunset.

Nice campsite. We arrived very late but let ourselves in. Very Clean sanitary building. No WiFi or Movistar signal. The spots are flat but very dark, no lights only from toilet building far away. We tripped several times over the low wooden fences, they could improve on that. Quiet and amazing views.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night 2p and motorhome and paid ARS 2,000.
Hot showers only in evening (4pm-10pm). Clean toilets. Electricity and BBQ pit on site. Recommend this place. WiFi around restaurant.

Report Check-In

Nice staff, very friendly, good place for a quiet and starry night. Hot showers from 4 pm to 10 pm, WiFi in and near the restaurant.

Sugerencia: llegar temprano. WIFI gratuito.

An amazing place to visit. The Talampaya canyon is a must if you visit the area. The tour is guided and its price is high, but it is worth it. The guides are very attentive and the facilities are excellent. Camping with light and bathrooms to spend the night. Tip: get there early. Free WIFI

Report Check-In

Good bathrooms. Great camping area, small campsites though. Good take away resto. poor WiFi

Report Check-In

Good campsite with clean shower and bathroom. park was beautiful but they increased the prices a lot. campsite was 500pp now and for the cheapest option for the excursion we payed 14300 (including park entrance) for two people. so very expansive (thank you western union for the good exchange rate) but very worth it!

Report Check-In

We have more exact infos today. The entrance fee is 2,700$. and plus! Cañon de Talampaya tour costs 4,450$. They did only this tour now. That means totally 7,150$ pp……..

Report Check-In

About camping, it’s awesome. We took No.1(Each will be charged their own site, wood table and chairs, electric consents, BBQ). Modern toilet and bathroom is much better than any hostel. Last night it seems like joke, same price and disgusting toilet in San José de Jáchal. :-) Wifi(available near the restaurant) didn’t reach to the camp site.

Report Check-In

Now the price of camping is higher than before like entrance fee, 500pp. It’s fine all facilities are maintained and clean. The hot or cold shower time is limited(16h-22h) like before. The price of entrance(Is it real? wow!) is various and high. In general(adult), depending on your journey 4,450$(Cañon de Talampaya)-5,950$(Cañon de Talampaya+Cañon Shimpa)-6,950$(Cañon de Talampaya+Los Balcones). If you’re traveling with children(They love family!), it can be more cheaper. There is no discount or not free(like Valle de la Luna) for disabled persons. This price is available only from 07.01.2022 to 09.30.2022.

Report Check-In

Expansive, yes. Worth it? Definitely yes for me even if I hate tour. In may, I recommend going around 14hr for the canyon to be in better light. I did the combinado with both canyons; the 2nd one is not a must , but nice.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Good camping, we paid 260 pesos pp including our truck.

Talampaya is beautiful but the entree is 5 times more expensive than Ischigualasto. We paid 5300 pesos (27 euro)pp for a 2,5 hour bustrip with 4 stops.

Report Check-In

Sanitaires propres. Électricité à chaque emplacement. Idéal pour faire la sortie du matin.

Report Check-In

WiFi. hot shower. parking . tent . cheap. bbq

new entry fees: 1820 pp for non residents, 2,5 hours tour 2760 p.p.
3,5 hours 3700 p.p

Report Check-In

we stay at the camping of the Park one night. 220pp. nice stay. next day we do the morning tour. aprox. 3 hours. 3000pp + 1300 park fee. it is a little bit expensive but ok. The difference to the afternoon tour (2300pp) is that you have a little wolk in a valley and you can sit on the top of the Truck for 4 km. I think it is better to do the afternoon tour, save a little money, you do not miss the walk and the light is better for the photos.

Report Check-In

Muy lindo lugar para acampar. Tranquilo y cuenta con todos los servicios...

Report Check-In

Stayed here 1 night and it was lovely. A little windy but otherwise good. Hot showers from 4:00pm to 10:00pm. Toilets clean and open all day. Picnic tables and electricity available. Friendly and courteous guard that remains on site 24 hours. The restaurant open until 10:00pm and opens again at 8:00am. We paid 180 pesos per person.

Report Check-In

Prices go up! 1900 $ for the canyon tour with the entrance fees included. We did the other park of the moon's valley and rather prefered the other one by far. More diversity for 600$. Too expensive here even if it's beautiful

Report Check-In

Campingground 180 AP pP. Hot shower from 16 to 22 h. Shower and WC very clean. Park entrance 400 pP. The canyon tour duration is 2.5 h. Tour price is 1'000 AP pP. Entrance & Tour 1'400 AP pP. Very impressive tour. We taken the last at 16:00. Best light! The rest ist like the description.

Report Check-In

Entry still 400 Pesos pp, including a bus ride to the entrance of the canyon. This trip is only offered 9am and 4pm...
All the other tours have prices up to 1700 Pesos pp (additional to the entry fee) which seems heavily overpriced to us...
Camping was super dusty & windy with no protection so we decided to leave again...

Report Check-In

Entrance is now 400/pers. kids included. Tours and walks overpriced for us. Not allowed to stay in car park for the night, only paying campground. We left .

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

The tour is expensive but worth it as they bring you into the canyon. The camping is nice with a very clean, new bathroom. Showers from 16:00 to 22:00. We could stay in the cafeteria to spend the evening.

Report Check-In

Camping was 160 Pesos. A mini bus tour was 1080 pesos with 4 stops, 2,5 hours. A tour in the an open air bus with 5 stops was 1280 pesos. You need to add the 350 pesos park fee. I did the mini bus tour with 4 stops. For some reason I didn't pay the park fee. Probably I just got lucky. I found the tour average. Nothing special. At one stop I wanted to walk closer to the canyon wall but I wasn't allowed. The board walk was a but wet from some drizzle. They thought that I might slip.... The tour might impress someone that stayed in urban areas for most of the life.

Report Check-In

Very Very expensive! Just go further to North and you we'll see all formation for free... Quebrada de Las conchas, and others... ;) keep driving!

Report Check-In

Entrance fee still 300pp; combi tour 830pp; open air bus tour 910pp. Latter was at 14:30 only. Combi tour at 11:30 and maybe one later in day. We decided to spend the night: 100 pp. Hot showers till 10pm. Camp bathrooms do close at 9am, open again at 4pm.

Report Check-In

We camped at the ‘camping’ ar the parking lot, had a very quiet night, a nice view and a nice walk. The cleanest toilets and showers in 2 months Argentina! We did the 3 hr tour with the bus with seats on top, it is expensive, but we definately enjoyed it!

Report Check-In

Sorry but this park is a bad joke... the price to enter the park is 300pp. But you must book a tour in order to visit the canyon. The minibus tour is 830pp plus the entrance... locals don‘t pay anything so we really felt ripped off and didn‘t even visit the park. There are two short tracks that you can visit. The shorter one is about dinosaurs and might be interesting for kids. The camping didn‘t look appealing at all, it‘s basically just a part of the parking with some tables and seperate bathrooms. Really can‘t recommend this place...

Report Check-In

Camping has good facilites. Very clean toilet and shower. 100ap pP. Park is 300ap and 3h tour with truck is 795ap.

Report Check-In

price for entrance to park is now 300 pp and includes a 1 hour guided tour to some petroglyphs. the other tour costs 725pp for a 3 hour tour with a special 4x4 vehicle. you can not do anything in this park without a guide. the prices are simply ridiculous! we refused to pay such exorbitant prices, so left.

Report Check-In

cheap (100 Pesos per Person), new bathhouse, hot showers at 18:00 h, awesome view.

Report Check-In

Now 100ARS pp. Hot showers, but very low water pressure. Showers and restaurant (plugs available, no Wifi) open until 10pm. No wind shelters, very cold at night in winter. We were happy to sleep in the car. You have to register when you get there and fill a form. Excursions to the park are pricey (still worth it in my opinion, even if it feels less authentic than Ischigualasto). Both parks are complimentary anyway. The only problem is that only the normal excursion to the canyon has frequent departures. You need a minimum number of persons to go to Cajones de Shimpa. If you are willing to pay a bit more (or avoid the main canyon), you can visit Ciudad Perdida and Cañon Arco Iris (cost 3600ARS for 4 to 6 persons). Looks much more interesting than the excursions offered by Rolling Travel, but we didn't get a chance to check it out. Just get some more info at the entrance ;)

Report Check-In

250$pp for the entrance and for transportation inside the park at least 595$pp. This is the cheapest option we found. So we did not visit the park and did not stay.

prices for adult 70 pesos and 35 pesos for Kids.

Report Check-In

The entrance with parking and 'camping' is close the main road and share the same sandy area. There is no sun shelter for tents or vehicles and no wind protection. For campers there is a little extra building with toilets and showers. Hot showers are limited available from 4pm to 10pm (with no exceptions). In the morning the showers are locked. Toilets at the campground are accessible only from afternoon until around 9am in the morning but you can use toilets in the restaurant building.

Park entrance fee is now an amazing Pesos 250 pp for foreigners and there is no free access to the park. All you get included is a 15km bus ride with a driver and a spanish speeking guide (run by private operators) to the entrance of the canyon and a short 200m walk. The stop is about 15 minutes. Then you have to return. That's it.
For a lot more money (add another 400 to 600 Pesos to the entrance fee) you can buy 3 to 4 hours tours (by bus or walking) via the private operators who have their office in the central building.
As we only did the included tour to the entrance of the canyon I can't compare Parque Nacional Talampaya with Parque Provincial Ischigualasto where we did the convoy tour. But I think in Talampaya it is a lot of money to commercial operators and you can't go anywhere without them.

Report Check-In

Did both visits: Talampaya and ishigualasto. Ishigualasto is far better and if you really want to do both start with Talampaya in order to have a crescendo otherwise you will be disappointed!

Report Check-In

Entrance, Excursion expensive, no wifi, no café ,no reduction for extranjero

Report Check-In

Organized rip off by corrupt government. Even locals are angry. Gave concession to a travel agent so you must book their tours where it would be easy to go on your own. 150 entry and 490-545 for each tour. Of course, locals pay less but law if reciprocity only applies if in THEIR advantage!

If you have been in National Parks in SW of the US, in my opinion better save your money. The 150 entrance fee includes a bus to the beginning of the canyon (you can't walk the rest, even it would easily be possible) -- try your luck and don't book one of the expensive tours and they might upgrade you as they don't want to send a separate bus just for one person.

Report Check-In

sorry i am wrong here, we visited the ISCHIGUALASTO Provicial Park a bit south from here, and enjoyed the place very much. Foto is also from the place we visited.

Report Check-In

Sorry, not worth it. I am sure the park is beautiful. We didn't go in. For 50pp and 35 kids we camped in a parking lot and were awaken by dozens of tour buses and cars. Bathrooms (very nice) with showers are only open from 18 to 23 hrs. No WiFi. Entrance is 120pp (kids 16 and under free) and we were told by the staff that with that you only get a "tour" to the gate. To see the park though you HAVE to hire a guide for 300 to 500 pp!

Report Check-In

today the 3 hour adventure plus tour with open roof truck costs 465 ARS pP plus 120 ARS pP park entry fee, glas of wine, chips and peanuts included at 2.nd station, tour was good - but very expansive, campground for tents with shadowed benches+tables for 50 ARS pP
