Before arriving in Casa Nova / BA, there is a beach by the São Francisco River. It is possible to camp directly in the sand (ideal 4x4 traction), or in the parking lot close by. Beautiful and quiet place during the week, but it can get crowded and noisy on weekends. Windy, which can be anoying in roof tents. No facilities, except a small hotel right in front of the river.
4G Vivo signal works just fine.

Lugar paradisíaco! Que visual incrível! A estrada de 19km está sendo asfaltada. O lugarejo ainda não tem energia elétrica. Sinal da Vivo é bom na beira do lago. Ficamos por duas noites. Procurem a Neném da barraca Flor do Sol, maravilhosa!

Report Check-InNot good for camping, even at the parking lot because of the trash. There are to many beach bars. Seems to be crowded at weekends. Maybe when the road fix is finished, worth a while to visit.
Lugar não bom para acampar mesmo no estacionamento por conta do lixo. Parece ser infernal nos finais de semana. Talvez quando terminar a pavimentação da estrada valha a pena uma visita rápida.
