We stayed 2 nights here at chrismas. very nice and quiet. windy but beautifull place! view over the sea with dolphins and big waves.

Report Check-In

We stayed a bit up the hill on a flat spot instead of at the fishing village. Really can’t beat the view. Gorgeous area, very peaceful.

This place is absolutely magical. A bit of a crowd on weekends, but nowhere near as bad as Hornitos and other nearby beaches. Parked right on the sand, slept under the stars. Beautiful and free.

Beautiful beach 50 minutes south from Antofagasta.
Take the coastal road south and turn left at -23.749161, -70.446238 (there is no sign to the beach here). Continue on this paved road, don´t look at the garbage, and turn right at the sign "Playa Escondida". From here are 12 paved kms and 10 dirt road and you'll find another sign "Playa Escondida". DON´T TAKE THAT RIGHT! That road is in really bad condition, so keep going another 1.7 km and turn right. Follow the white stones for another 4-5 kms down to the beach.
We talked to the only fisherman that lives there and bought from him nice big crabs and fresh fish. We gave him some fruits and vegetables.
The entrance to the beach was very dirty, but we tried to clean a little bit and took garbage out.
