Description

Campsite with view on the sea. Wind protection through trees and bushes. Nice and grassy spots. Free. Noise from the nearby airport and the road but quiet at night. There were only a few locals but not anywhere near us.

Nice protected sites for a night in transit. Pit toilets are in rough shape including missing doors. Great view though! lol

Report Check-In

Lonely place under trees. Good wind protection. But the street is really noisy. The few planes are acceptable.

Report Check-In

We stayed 2 nights there. You have some good wind protection but you have to search it. The wind was really strong when we were there but didn't feel a lot. Lot of local people during the day but not a lot during the night. Really quiet

Report Check-In

Awesome view. There are a lot of options on both sides of the road, the ones marked in the south have more wind protection than the ones in the north. Suitable for all sizes of rigs.
Please take your rubbish (and some more) with you.

Nice place with a great view over Magellan Street and an amazing sun rise if the weather is good. Few pit toilets - are very dirty and a lot of barbecue spots. For one night close to Punta Arenas it’s a very good option.

Report Check-In

Lovely spot, sheltered tables and benches. Some noises from the road and the airport but plenty of space for all rig sizes. Would recommend to stay for a night or even more.

Great free spot near Punta Arenas. On Christmas Eve we wanted to stay here but all the locals were celebrating in the park. We decided to go another time. This night there were only a few others, no garbage and lots of wind protection from the trees. Some airplanes flew by but not much and some noise from the road but fine for us.

The place was cleaned by conaf, lots of nice spots under the trees and a wonderful view

We spent two nights here. Decently close to Punta Arenas and quite nice to also just hang around. Yes, the garbage everywhere is a bummer, but it‘s reasonably quiet (besides some road noise and every once in a while a plane taking off/ landing). We found it the only place where you have shelter from the wind. The pit toilets are no really usable, it‘s basically a stone with a hole, very uncomfortable. You can see rabbits everywhere.

Yet another spot that would be really decent if it was for the locals... lots and lots of trash, TP, beer bottles etc. But still good for a night. Take a bag of trash with you hey or even just burn some of you have a fire. 😕

Like other people wrote; a good place to stay. Some noise from the airport of near road but it’s okay. Spots are sheltered and a lot of good spots. And please take you’re rubbish with you. There is already too much and a spot like this doesn’t deserve this.

We really liked this spot (yah, okay, except for the garbage). We found ourselves a decently clean spot, If it had a water source it would be even better. We are on a motorcycle so having a table is always a real treat. We were there on Wednesday and then again on a Friday. No one else was camped near us either times. Great views overlooking the ocean. We saw dolphins.

Nice place to stay. It‘s officially allowed to camp in this area. Bit noisy due to the airport but quiet during the night.

Report Check-In

Nice free spot to camp on the way into Punta Arenas. Probably the first properly sheltered place since Villa Tehuelches. The park has multiple entrances with lots of camping options but I think this most southerly part is the best. You can pitch a tent right in the trees with excellent wind protection. Fair bit of road noise and the ocasional aeroplane. Also there’s no water but thankfully I got some from a couple in a camper van :-)

Report Check-In

Great spot, not too far from Punta Arenas. Much better than camping near the town. Hardly anyone here, except a few locals doing a beach cleanup! If you see some trash pick it up and take it with you, respect these beautiful places!

A great place to stay near Punta Arenas. There was plenty of good places to park for the night and only a couple other overlanders there. There was also trees for good wind protection. There was a good view of the strait from the bluffs and we even saw a couple whale spouts. There was some old pit toilets there as well. No running water that we could find.

we've teied to find a place here but it's not accessible for motorhome : too much bumpy and trees are too much near and it damage the windows etc.
but it seems to be a great place !

Very nice place to stay. And a good view of Magalhanes. There are also pit to do a good fire.

We spent 2 nights here and were alone. At night it‘s quiet also from the road and from the airport. Nice view to the sea and very good wind protection! There are a lot of spots for camping.

Report Check-In

We camp here with a group of friends for 2 nights. There are nice flat spots under the trees protected from the wind with big round cement fire pits. It’s sad how much garbage people leave behind. We picked up some of the garbage around us and left the area a little cleaner than what we found it.

Report Check-In

Nice free spot, we stayed here 4 nights while visiting the city. You can hear the planes, but it’s not bothering. Quite a lot of littering though.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one night in our campervan. Got a spot protected by the wind some by trees. Were right on the water. Several other vans showed up after us but we still had plenty of privacy. Only issue with this spot is the trash everywhere. Some noise from the airport and road, but not at night or early morning. Great spot for the night.

Report Check-In

This part of the park is much nicer than the other areas with more trees/shelter and less litter. There are also fire pits in addition to the benches and BBQ areas.

Campsite right by the water. Wind protection through trees and bushes. Nice and grassy spots. Free. Noise from the nearby airport and the road but quiet at night. There were only a few locals but not anywhere near us.
