Description

we stayed here for two weeks working on a film project in the area. this family is amazing. they run a little store and a modest hotel. they often host peace corps volunteers and other groups. Reyna (the mother) is a great chef and cooked professionally before they opened the hotel. Cesar (the dad) is a great guide and help around town. you camp in their secure lot next to the hotel. from about 8 to 5 there is a small tuk tuk taller working in the back of the lot, but they are no bother and nice guys. it's best to come on the weekend as their is a great market in patzun and there is a lot going on. this is a very friendly Mayan town and not overly touristy and the prices reflect that. great to go grocery shopping and grab supplies before the more touristy areas at the lake. we really in love with this family!

didn't stay here, but got a good shower for 10q after hiking the Acatenango vulcano. I was super happy to get all the dust off

Reyna and Cesar are suuuper nice, this place is family owned and made a perfect stop for the night while cycling. Wifi is not super fast but works, water was not hot but no cold either, comfortable bed and walkable distance from tiendas and restaurants.

Hotel run by a wonderful family. Basic room and shower for a night for one person for 50q. Space to keep bicycles inside. The family invited us in to use their kitchen and eat and chat with them. They were ace!

lovely family run hotel, facilities are basic but clean enough and had a good night sleep. paid 50q pp for a private room with bathroom. the family are just wonderful, we spent a long time chatting to them about our trip, and they allowed us to use the kitchen to make some dinner.we highly recommend stopping here! (we are on bicycles they were able to provide a safe place for the bikes overnight).

Family runned hostel with three rooms. The owners are very friendly and we had a nice chat during both dinning and breakfast in their kitchen. They let us pitch our tent on their little balcony and we could see the Fuego spit smoke in the morning.

really awesome family located in a good spot in a small traditional Mayan town. stopped here for 2 nights between Lago Atitilan and Antigua. we explored the town, played games and ate meals with them. the parking space is very large and the family have me the keys to the gate to go in and out as we pleased. cool dog hangs out with you. the tuk tuk shop is gone so it's completely private and secure.

40q/night, 10/pp for shower and bathrooms. 13/pp for simple fresh meals

The nicest place to stay in Central America! The family are the greatest, so kind, fun and welcoming! We had the honour of spending a Sunday evening with them which coincided with the 2nd part of the 15th anos celebration. So we had cake!!!!

Lovely family, 40 Quetzales including electricity and water fill up. Rustic breakfast 13 Quetzales. They are happy when you are around. No problem to enter with our 24 ft rig.

Villa Linda is a nice and cozy hotel with its incredible owners Reyna and Cesar. We had a lot of fun and booked a double room for 150 Q. When we stayed there we met a Japanese who was allowed to set up his tent for 45 Q on the balcony. Absolutely recommended.

Reina and Cesar are so lovely. They were interested in us and the life in Germany. They helped us with our spanish. But it is better you take a room. They are simple but clean. The camping is a bit difficult. There are some trucks and so it is not much place. One truck started at 4.30 am and it was very narrow.

What an incredible family. We stopped (on bicycles) asking about lunch -- not knowing they were on here or their history of hosting foreigners. They're are some of the warmest people we have met on our trip. We ended up scrapping the rest of our day and spending the night to enjoy a couple more meals and time with the family. They are more than happy to accommodate whatever your needs. I'd highly recommend anyone passing through to pay them a visit.

Reina and Cesar are the best hosts in Guatemala!! They have a safe locked grassy land next to their home and hotel, where our 25 feet trailer fit perfectly. Also, we shared great home made meals, very cheap, and a meaningful stay that enriches any traveler. Aprox 2 hours from Guatemala City and from Atitlan Lake. 50Q the night for the rig. Hope to come back!!

Camped at the parking lot / tuc-tuc repair shop right next to the hotel. You'd need to talk to Cesar or Reina (hotel owners) to camp at the lot. Lot is gated. 60 Quetzales per vehicle per night. If you have an extension electricity can be provided. You can use the restroom and shower in the hotel. This is a family owned hotel and Cesar and Reina are spectacular people. They have been hosting Peace Corp members for 9 years. The parking lot is not glamorous but the town of Patzun has an authentic vibe and Reina's food is delicious!!!

This place was a delightful stop on the way to Chichicastenango. It may not be the most "beautiful" location but the family that runs this place is so warm and welcoming you forget you're sleeping in a parking lot. 60q per car and that included a bathroom, warm shower, wifi, and electricity! (You have to run an extension cord into their hotel) They also make amazing food: 15q for breakfast, 20q for lunch, 15q for dinner. If you visit, tell them Ashwin and Olivia say hi!

This is a small Guatemalan hotel that offers camping and services. They offer camping in their secure lot with access to CLEAN bathrooms and showers with wifi for 50Q and rooms starting at 75Q. They also offer hardy traditional guatemalan meals cooked for 15Q breakfast and dinner and 20Q for lunch. You can eat them with the family (recommended) or in your camper. FANTASTIC. They do everything to a north American Standard of sanitation, highly recommended.
