USFS Campground on St Regis River.
Very well spaced sites many overlooking the river.
7 long pull through sites in newer half to left at the y near the entrance. lots of back in and pull through sits to the right for up to about 34 ft. We stayed in this older area in a 36 ft 5th wheel.
There is some freeway noise but some sites near river are quite.
Update for 6/2021–$15 or $7.50 with an interagency pass.
$10 or $5 with senior pass

As described. Showed up Friday afternoon on labor day and more than half the spots open. Half the spaces are reservable so getting more than one night might depend on your camping karma. Clark river is really peaceful but I read it’s very polluted with heavy minerals from mining... so maybe check before swimming or letting your kiddos or fur-babies in the water.
Report Check-InGreat sites. Sadly there was only one site open on the water as the others were reserved using Rec.gov
Report Check-InNice little FS camp. $15. Definitely some freeway noise and a very loud train. But we needed a spot for the night and it worked out
Report Check-InBeautiful spot with a little freeway noise. Sunday night in the high season had many open spots available. Pull-thru spots are plentiful—we are a 30’ class C with a 16’ trailer and could have pulled into any pull-thru very easily.
There are a couple of double sites and even a triple site if you are coming with or meeting friends.
Most spots on the river have a trail down to the water, and there is a day-use picnic spot with picnic tables, volleyball court, and a small boat put-in spot for rafts and kayaks. Each spot has a fire ring, and each campsite is given 5 pieces of firewood if they want it.
1-2 bars of Verizon or Sprint/T-Mobile coverage. Just enough to write this review
;-)
On this date—$15/night or $7.50 with an interagency pass.
Report Check-InClean, nestled under pines next to swollen (and muddy) river. Quiet but for freeway noise and occasional train. sweet camp hosts. $7.50 a night with Golden Age pass
