Quiet and tucked away spot in trees. Parking area was muddy gravel but easily drivable with my Promaster van. I was the only one there. Fire pit was full of garbage. Closed for the season on Dec 16th till April. The coal Power Plant is close by and you can see large barges moving coal on the drive. I would stay here again for a night. I was solo.
Report Check-InA fine stay. It rained which made the smell of horses stronger, but other than that it was great. 2 tables, large lot to park, pit toilet
Report Check-InLooks like 2 actual campsites but it looks like there’s room to boondock without tables and a fire pit if both sites are taken. Really though,, it’s set up mostly for people with horses to bring their trailers in and take the horses on trail. Pretty close to town but quiet, well marked and easy to get to.
Report Check-Inbeautiful spot with vault toilets and water. I see 2 official campsite with fire rinks and I'm the only one here
Report Check-In2 real sites, plenty if room for extra trailers. clean water pit toilet, and trails. Verizon 2 bars, fades in and out. T-mobile works with full signal.
Report Check-InFREE. Great spot to stay for a night or two. A big gravel circle with wooded greens in the middle. Suitable for tent, car, and rv camping. Has a pit toilet, 2 picnic tables, 2 fire circles, and some trails to wander around on. I have AT&T and the service is excellent.
Report Check-InOnly two fire rings and two fire pits but plenty of space to park. We arrived around 8:30pm on a Sunday and both legit spots were taken, but posted up a good 100’ away from both those spots and we are happy!
There is a manure smell since it’s a horse trail and lots of spots to tie horses, but it’s cleaned up and we don’t mind the smell. Trails are shared by hikers, mtb, and horses.
Pit toilet is clean.
