Something not right?

Description

Established campground right on the water with 20+ pull ins for RVs and many more for dispersed tent camping -- all with fire rings and picnic tables. Pit toilets and trash receptacles throughout. Place to store your boat near the boat ramp. Spots are surprisingly spacious given the campground is "established."

Not too private and completely exposed to the elements, but fairly clean with amazing views. Solid AT&T LTE signal.

Pretty great bargain for a FREE campground! We wound up here because everything with water between Twin Lakes and Eleven Mile were packed.

As described. Beautiful views. Got to watch lots of baby trout learn how to jump and check pelicans off our wildlife sighting bingo! 2-3 bars LTE on Verizon. Only downside was lots of trash in the fire rings. Whyyyyy???? Pack it out, my dudes! There are even trash cans here, so really no excuses. Otherwise 10/10.

Place is as described. We really camp believe it’s free.
Buggy for sure, but the don’t seem to be biting.

Great place to stay in close proximity to a lot of 14ers. Completely free to use with great views. There are quite a lot of bugs but they are only a nuisance. Would definitely recommend this campsite.

As described by others, free easy access. Great place to stay close to Collegiate Peaks after a long day hiking.

Huge views, quiet even with 20 sites, water is clear and chilly. 9000 ft elevation? Nice open landscape with mountains all around. Dog friendly. Very nice.

Beautiful place, as described by others. Gravel road was fine, maybe they improved it recently. But holy airborne insect invasion!!! It’s clouds of them! Went for a walk to the water n was swarmed. That was around 8 pm. I ended up leaving. Place was 3/4 full.

Place to fish & camp when in Colorado. Good sized fishes.

Awesome free camping! Solid Verizon and AT&T service: 52 mbps download, 11 upload. Arrived Sunday afternoon and the campground was only about half full so I was able to snag a place right on the water. It’s super windy though and really rocking the van with whitecaps on the reservoir. At almost 9000 feet it seems like a great place to come to get out of the heat.

Very nice free campground with excellent views. Not much in the way of privacy, wind protection or shade, but this was OK with us in late October. Not particularly busy at this time. I didn't see any water spigots or a dump station, but there are pit toilets and trash cans. The road coming is totally doable but in bad shape, so take it easy so you don't rattle your rig. The campsites are very level and all gravel. Our 25' truck camper rig fit with a lot of space to spare, but the larger fifth wheels may have to do some maneuvering and maybe park their cars outside their camp spot. Fire pits and a couple of grills available, as well as picnic tables. 14-day limit. Great service on AT&T and Visible, passable service on Mint.

Great quick stopover outside of Buena Vista. Nice view of the water and the mountains. Nice to have a free campsite with pit toilets. One toilet was really gross but another was clean.
Lots of RVs so you will hear generators running. We were just happy to find a spot the Thursday before July 4th.
