8$. Dump and water. Disperse camp outside State Park. Dump at entrance to park. Very nice

South Dakota State campground that can only be reserved online or by phone. Many electric only sites available when we arrived on a sunny and hot Sunday morning in August. $26/day plus added fee for being out-of-state and tax totalled $35.26.😮
No water at the sites. Showers free for campers. Also an $8 recreation area use charge for just driving in. 😮
Verizon and AT&T weak.
Lovely setting for boaters.

At this point in time, there is hardly anyone using this place. Even if there was, the campsites are very roomy so the biggest of rigs can fit in easily. I'm believing that this isn't state park, but Belle Fourche National Wildlife Refuge. Having said that, there's signs of plenty of wild foul here with lots of droppings on the ground. But each campsite has a table and a fire ring. There is a dump station with potable water in the state park visible from the gate on the north side of the road. While it's probably only for state park campers, the gate wasn't manned when we went through, so thinking it wouldn't be that big of a deal to use it when the time comes.

this location is the free sites. right before the pay station take a left and the road will bring you up here to the dispersed sites.

the other posting South of here is before the campground, but there is a sign posted in that pull off that says no camping. so it was a little confusing to us coming in at night.

Beautiful large recreational area with several campgrounds, some for fee and some for free. Large reservoir, beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Plenty of sites to choose from. We stayed two nights in the free campground.
