Latest Check-Ins

We slept in here for a night after visiting the ruins. We talked to the men in the entrance and they said we could sleep in there. After 5pm everything is quiet until 9am when tours start to arrive.
There is a water tap (not potable) next to the ticket cabin, hoose needed.

Report Check-In

We were sent away today and it is no longer possible to stay overnight.

Report Check-In

Yep all good to camp here. I came on my bike and they directed me down past the toilet block to a building I could camp inside. No water down there so collect from tap in car park. Toilets closed for me overnight.
Very quiet and tranquilo and got Moray to myself for the first hour next day.

Report Check-In

We went here just to visit, the guard asked us if we want to sleep so still a possibility. Just info the road is in construction so there is 2 way from Maras (a high clearance can be useful for the old one )

Report Check-In

Still free, guys from the parc told us to park down closed to the bathrooms (open all night). A bit windy in the evening and cold during the night, but great view and sun in the morning!

Report Check-In

As described, nice ruins and they are larger than what you can see from the parking area. Don't bother coming here if you don't have your ticket as the guard checked ours before we even had a chance to get out of our rig. We're did spend the night alone in the parking area.

Now about the road here. After arriving in Maras, go past the Plaza de Armas 4 blocks before turning right to get to the Moray road - there are no signs pointing the way. The right turn is very tight, we are 7.4m looking and only just made the turn, the taxi partially blocking the street didn't make it any easier.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot with a great view on the mountains.
We stay here one night after the visit of the ruins. Staff very nice.
We weren't not allowed to park to the parking next the toilets, but the main parking was very quiet.
Buses with tourists begin to come at 8-9 am.

Report Check-In

Near the toilet and parking we sleep here one night very quiete place, toilet open all the night

Report Check-In

We were not allowed to camp here without purchasing a ticket for 70 soles a person. He referred us to Maras to camp. Very unhelpful person we encountered. Maybe we were unlucky to run into him. The drive here was beautiful, not a total waste.

Report Check-In

Free camping in the ruins parking lot. Pretty mountain views. We didn’t camp here but we thought is was a nice spot and perfect for viewing the ruins without having to pay (since you can basically see everything from the parking lot). It’s a nice option if you aren’t planning on buying the ruins bundle package or boleto parcial.

Report Check-In

we arrived at 3 pm. we had only three entrance tickets for four people, but we were allowed to visit the places. there are less people in the afternoon they told us. its open from 7am- 5pm. there are baños. staying over night was no problem for the people here. it was very quiet, only our snoring to be heard. (altitude ~3500m nn)

Report Check-In

Arrived around 5 pm and nobody there to check our ticket, which we didn't have.

Report Check-In

Very friendly staff at a place with a great view in the nature.we enjoyed the place

Report Check-In

Beautiful location. We went to the parking lot by the 3 cabins, asked one of the staff guys in the cabin if we could spend the night there and he said it wasn't a problem. Didn't ask about the 70 sol pass to the 4 ruins sites but we already had it from Ollantaytambo. Quiet at night, amazing views, fairly cold. There are bathrooms with running water we parked right by.

Unfrienly cancerbero. Do not drive here unless you have or you plan to buy the turi-card for 70soles. They do not have single entry for this place.

Report Check-In

Camping on the parking lot, great view, restrooms open all night. Free

Report Check-In

We camped here before visiting the ruins. Great view, quiet, free. The S/70 entrance fee is not only for this place but for three others too (Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero and Moray).

Report Check-In

The location is not exact. But no problem to find. Very nice, but windy.
