Great spot for beach camping. Plenty of solid sand for driving and parking away from the water. If you come before Jan. 1 you don’t need a beach permit but make sure you stop to get one after 12/31. Stripes near the 1A access will have them.
Report Check-InGreat public beach, tent camping and enjoying the waves! Lots of porta potties and trash cans along the beach.
Report Check-InNot much people on a mid-December week night, so very quiet. Didn't have to pay the 12$ permit because they don't sell it anymore at this time of year. Still called the Chamber of Commerce to make sure I won't get a ticket! The number is 361-749-5919.
Report Check-InSuperlong beach. Totally crowded on the weekend. Easy to drive with 2WD. Beach parking permit for USD 12 available at every Stripes. Showers and pittoilets available.
