Description

A small pullout, large enough for truck camper, camper van, or small trailer. The spot is large enough for two vehicles side by side on a patch of flat volcanic rock. Nice wide open views with wildflowers in spring and near a small obscure ski area.

Great spot. Feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, close to Craters of the Moon and gas stations in Arco. Would have stayed here longer. No service, perfect for peace and quiet. Great view of the mountains. Would recommend for those who like elbow room!

Report Check-In

Great spot, close to the road but hidden by a little hill. Also almost no road noise.

Report Check-In

Great, quiet place near craters! Had good T-mobile service. Lots of cool plants and wildflowers if you poke around the area!

Report Check-In

Secluded spot off the gravel road. Dirt road that goes in quite a ways. We camped at a spot adjacent to this primitive road not realizing another campsite with a fire ring was only 100 yards or so further down this dirt road. Didn't see anyone, gorgeous mountain views. 2 to 3 bad 4G Verizon.

Report Check-In

As described previously. A couple of cars/vans drive by at night but otherwise quiet. It must also be a trailhead because someone came in the morning for a hike.

Report Check-In

Decent cell service and minimal traffic at night and day. Got a bunch of flies in the van while cleaning in the morning, so had to do some evicting of them later. Always appreciate a free dispersed camp just outside NPS lands.

Report Check-In

Extremely quiet dirt road. Several pull offs. Had no issues.

Report Check-In

Wonderful spot, the right side is a bit overgrown and not perfectly flat but. We were worried if it wouldn't be private enough since it is right beside the dirt road but from 7pm to 12am next day only one car passed by. A few mosquitos after sunset.

Report Check-In

Easy spot from the highway to get into and out of with just a night needed!

Report Check-In

Nice spot, super quiet, convenient if visiting craters np, 3 bars Verizon.

Report Check-In

Good spot for an overnight, plenty far up the road and remote. We didn’t stay at this spot though because there was a poor dead dear. Kept driving up blizzard rd to the next spot. You’ll hear nothing but cows mooing, very peaceful.

Report Check-In

Easy place to stay the night with cell service when you’re visiting COTM. Warning, there is currently a rotting deer carcass about 30 ft. into the pullout that my dog found 😬 and it smelled when the wind picked up. I’m sure in another few weeks and it won’t be an issue.

Report Check-In

As described. Good cell service on AT&T. Recommend driving the full loop of Blizzard Mountain Road. It's easy and scenic.

Report Check-In

Small pull out off Blizzrad Mt dirt road. As stated just enough room for 2 vehicles. Our van camper fit just fine, anything larger might stick out into the road. Very quiet, no noise from the highway. Less than 3 miles from Craters of the Moon and level.

Report Check-In

As stated, just a pull off on the east side of a dirt road. No shade and mostly windy.
3 bars Verizon 4G.
