Can't really beat this for a free camping spot but it does fill up so have a back up plan if arriving late.

Stayed here three nights while exploring the national parks. Nice to come back to a safe, quiet, level spot. Beautiful river! Busses come in in the morning to drop off rafters, which can be loud.

i want to correct myself about the quiet, it is when there is no train. you can hear them far and they bip so many time and it's echo as fuck haha

super quiet, clean and pretty also easy to access with whatever vehicle (I have a Yaris)

What a gorgeous spot. I highly recommend. Was just 2 other vans here (Thursday night).
Stars here are incredible, I finally managed to capture a shot of the milky way in the night sky 🤩

very nice spot. very little traffic from passing vehicles. once in a while a train passes and honks, but not really disturbing

Beautiful spot, 10/10. Lots of different options for where to park. Stayed here maybe 5 nights while spending time in the Yoho / Banff area.

Beautiful spot. Although busy, there's more room if you drive a little further.
Road noise is minimal, the river is calming. love it.

beautiful spot, busy but still comfortable. Easy road off the highway, no road noise, a train goes by here and there but not too loud. Level lots, rogers reception/data. This spot can't be beat.

Pulled in after 10 so it was pretty dark, but managed to get a spot. Lots of vehicles here, about half cleared out before 9am. Beautiful spot, wish we got in earlier

Great little spot along the river - cooler down by the river and very clean. Easy to access.

Perfect spot! Met a driver for the rafting company launching from there but he was very nice and had no problems with people camping there :)

Nice spot along river. Free and a few small sites. Easy to access and spot from road.

Amazing spot, great views! We stayed just next to the bridge as the rest was too snowy and muddy, but it was still very quiet.

tried to get here butwas so foggy and late we just stopped at Beaverfoot Forest Service Road & Wapta Road intersection, right before railroad so we heard train all night, i am sure we could have driven further to this site but we were tired. the next morning 6am an 18-wheeler pulled up and the lights blinded and awoke us so we left. we should have driven further, but all in all, was hidden from road and okay for a night, but if u want an evening and morning, go further to the water!

Epic spit by the river. Terrain a bit uneven. Several vans parked here already, so even though there is plenty of room, it was challenging finding a flat spot for the night.

Really nice view of the Kicking Horse River. Seems to be a very popular spot as there were many campers and a lots of used toilet paper in the bushes surrounding the sites. The small stream feeding into the river was dried up so we opted to drive to the other side. Noise from highway and trains wasn't too bad. Great place for a night or two.

Few spots along the river, seems to be used for the rafting company where they put in their boats but park away from the water and you should be fine . Quite busy also so you have to come early to get a spot

As usual, happy to have found a place to sleep. Very nice, yes a bit dirty like the rest of canada unfortunately, but i can't sleep next to the river in paris do I just live it here :) It's nice to hear the train close by too :)

Awesome is a bit of an overstatement. Nice enough spot with great river views, but the garbage is pretty disgusting. Many people here in tents and the place is literally full of crap. Space for about 2 bigger rigs and maybe 10 small ones or tents. Ok for a 1 night stop. Gets very busy on weekends, full on the Friday night we were here.

as the description says.. awesome spot on the river, easy to get to for 2wd can hear the road a little bit but the river is louder. lots of space, fire pits and friendly people!!

Great spot along the kicking horse river. Has a fire pit and reception. Right along the water (right after the bridge). Easy access from the highway. Can fit 2-4 tents and cars can be close. Outhouse across the street. Fall asleep to the sound of the current.
