Description

Huge parking lot on the State Game Lands 110. Decent Verizon signal, woods all around, and nobody else here. It is probably busy during hunting season though. We did not build a fire because we got here late but I suppose you could....(Edit: no fires allowed. It's a parking lot) Good for one night if you need somewhere to sleep and want to do some hiking or paddling at the nearby lakes.

Beautiful site! I stayed one night and would absolutely come back. I got here around noon, and a few cars pulled in throughout the day but they didn’t stay. The place is very quiet, though, you’ll hear distant gunshots every once in a while. REMINDER: please clean up after yourself. I don’t know if it was local folks or campers, but I did find used toilet paper on the ground but I packed it out with me. Too much trash will close this place down.

Nice quiet gravel parking lot. I was the only one here. Great spot to go for a long walk before the sun goes down. 1-2 bars of Verizon

Pretty much as described. I got there at 6ish pm. Two trucks in the parking lot. One left after a few hours, the other spent the night. A couple of cars drove in and left immediately. There's a nice gravel road that's closed to vehicle traffic that goes up the mountain and connects with the Appalachian Trail. The walk to the AT is about 1.25 miles and it's uphill all the way. It was really foggy today, but there's probably some views up on top. In the morning a cop came by, stopped in the parking lot for a while and then left. Very peaceful. Great Verizon signal.

Stayed one night. No one else here however several vehicles came in and out during the night without bothering us. No knocks on the door. Would stay again.

Report Check-In

Definitely decent. Been here all day and plan to stay overnight. One or two cars came and went. Peaceful and quiet besides the distant hum of faraway traffic. Crickets aplenty but not too many bugs.

Great quiet spot on a Tuesday evening. Nobody but us. Great cell reception. Wide open gravel parking lot, clean, but no facilities. Great for dogs.

Great spot to sleep in car. Nobody was there. T-mobile works.

the gps coordinates were a little off for this spot, but i was able to find the gamelands sign, so i pulled onto that road and the parking lot was a little ways up the road on the left. we stayed here one night ~ its a very large gravel lot surrounded by woods. cops did come around 9:45pm and grilled me and my girlfriend about why we were there, our ages, how we knew each other, etc. but then told us we could camp and to lock our doors. seems to be a regular patrol but overnight camping it definitely allowed. there were a couple cars early in the morning, but no one stayed long. my only complaint is there was a bit of broken glass on the ground from beer bottles and we travel with a dog and cat so i was worried about their paws.

Report Check-In

Take caution - Large parking lot as described by others. When I pulled in there was one other van in the lot. It was around dusk. I must have fallen asleep around 9 and was awakened by pounding on the door at 10. Turned out to be the police. The officer said that he wasn’t kicking me out, but told me to be sure to keep my doors locked, as it was a known drug area. The officer got called away to something else. For my own peace of mind, I left and went to the Cabela’s a couple miles down the street.
(The other van was gone- not sure if they were approached by the officer or if they left before.)

quiet in hunting off season, but definitely would be busy in the middle of the season. theres hiking trails nearby and it's close to a walmart. this is just a gravel lot but it was great for our camper van. please pick up after yourself though, there is some trash in the area.

Report Check-In

Spent a quiet night here; we were the only van in the gravel lot.

Nice quiet night, the only van up here. Decent Verizon service, some highway noise in the distance.
