Quiet the first night during the week. The second night some target practice guy showed up and one passing ATV. I moved to the lower BLM area near the river at that point, even though the lower area has a no camping sign. Good Verizon here and clean vault toilets at nearby parking lots. The river is beautiful. The short dirt road is best for vans, SUVs and trucks, maybe a small class C. I was in a minivan.

Decent spot, we decided to drive here rather than staying around lake Tahoe because it was like, a whole 10 degrees warmer. Parking lot is fine plus theres a whole bunch of suitable pulloffs on the road leading up to it.
Report Check-InSuper quiet. only a couple spots to actually stay over night. the spot we were at had a deer carcass and bones spread about. also seems like someone dumping brush cuttings. mountain views. not close enough to the water to actually use it or see it.
Report Check-InClose to Carson City, and nearby city park. Overall good stay, a few trucks drove down dirt road after dark but it was a Saturday night. Some light trash. Small pull outs good for vans.
Report Check-InThis gps coordinate is actually on private land and the neighboring blm land is closed to camping since 1997 according to a map on blm.gov. Check Carson city district office.
Report Check-InI explored several BLM access points in the area and this seems to be the only one without an immediate 'No Camping Behind This Sign' posting. Unfortunately, there is a lot of trash here and maybe some motor oil spills, too. There are two spots barely large enough for a small class C to fit before the aforementioned sign post. You're close to the road but it's pretty quiet as it's not busy. The short (maybe 100 yds) dirt road in is in good shape. As with everywhere around here, OHV trails begin just past this spot so take care not to block them.
