Dispersed spots along road, at least 4 or 5 but the road goes for a while so not sure how many exactly.. quiet beautiful and peaceful at night. No cell service. Close to a small downtown with grocery store, deli, some boutiques (most shops are closed Mon/tue) but we got a pepperoni roll from the deli and it was banging
Report Check-InMany spots along the road about a dozen, some with fire pits and some without. There’s some under shade and some in a field. Was pretty quiet during the night but in the morning it got busier. Local trails around.
Report Check-InThis place was great. Quiet, secluded and beautiful. The loop road is drivable for all up to the sign that states road not suitable for passenger car beyond this point. However most 4x4s with a little lift can make it through. The night sky was amazing.
Report Check-InThere were several places along this dirt road to camp. Some of the camps were off the road, across a creek or right next to the road. Lots of mountain bikes, joggers and vehicles during the day depending on which part of the road you’re on. There are a lot of inconsiderate drivers that go by at high speeds leaving a giant dust cloud in their wake. Luckily we were off the road in the pines that it wasn’t an issue. Other camps were blasted with it. After setting up and exploring our area we came to find a lot of toilet paper all around the outskirts of camp. Apparently “leave no trace” does not apply to someone. And it was everywhere. Luckily no decal matter discovered, which leads me to believe females frequented the area. There was also no wood to scrounge for fires, so you may want to bring your own. Someone had cut down a green pine and left chunks of it in our area.
We’ll definitely use this area again (different spot) when we go back down to the area. And you get some funny looks from folks at Lindy Point when you come up from the backside and enter Blackwater Falls covered in mud and leaves.
Small firepit and pull off area in the turn around circle. Awesome enchanted forest right off the site. Good AT&T and Verizon service. Tons of MTB trails right here. Highly recommend.
Report Check-InWe arrived just before dark and it was snowing, but the road and circle were plowed, with plenty of space for parking. Quiet and peaceful night. Woke up to a beautiful wintry scene.

Report Check-InGravel road with some potholes but very manageable. Stayed about 1 mile after the residential homes end (actually at a large site that was the Core Loop Parking area. Got here at sundown. Plan on leaving early so if people need to park to hike then it will be free
Report Check-InVery good gravel road in, several spots, spotty service, could make phone calls.
