We came up here to spend a quiet night away from town and off the highway enough to not be noticed and to escape the heat a little more. The Al e Inn was closed fmthis night and they were having a locals birthday party. The highway got very quiet at night, stars were great and the lights and planes of Area 51 started around midnight. No services. There was a fire ring but we didn't use it. Watch out for fire ants!

the spot served us well. definitely head to the upper location as described by others. easy to get to, nice and flat and there was Verizon/visible mobile cell service. Google fi did not have service.
Report Check-InDecent spot. Fire ring. Quiet being that the highway has little traffic.
Report Check-InWe came here based on the previous entry but because we arrived at night, and the dot wasn't quite at the right spot, we didn't keep driving up to the spot with the view. either way it's a good place to spend the night, but our advice is go past the big flat turn out right off the road, and up to the second turnaround that has a fire pit and the amazing view. no services at any kind, including no cell service, but a great place to spend the night.
